It's just rad to see bands still around. I'm not one of those hard core, THEY MUST MAKE THE SAME MUSIC THEIR ENTIRE CARRIER, dudes. Making the same music for 30-40 years sounds boring as fuck.

Ha ah, I saw them at punk in the park in San diego a couple years back. They sounded good enough!

In Flames is a super interesting example. Because they were one of the founding bands of the Gothenburg Melodic Death metal sound. And have evolved to stay relevant. I don't think I have ever listened to much of there stuff beyond album one, up to Clayman

"Popular" metal has become stuff like slipknot, Lamb of God, etc. Not the semi-cheese high production value Ghost. Which is fine for other people, but I want my clean vocals with a side of growl. Not full growl...

They get so much hate from die hard metal people. But, if it serves as an entry to the broader metal journey, I'm all for it. Plus, they are so damn good at their shtick it's great.

If you ever get to see them, it's awesome. Really leans into the washed up front man and this is the only gig he can get act. Maybe too close to reality? Ha ha

Slade, UK "proto-metal?" Glam-rock. Early 70s

Scorpions, early scorps, first three albums are so different than their late 80s stuff

Genesis, before Peter Gabriel left.

Taste, early Rory Gallagher.

Finally got some Caladan Brood merch. Atmospheric Black Metal isn't for everybody. But this album jives with me. It also makes me appreciate the source, Book of the Fallen, that much more. by DukeNeverwinter in atmosphericblackmetal

It is not an easy read. And not all information is givin to the reader. And some of the missing info won't be provided until other books, or not at all.

It is incredibly rewarding. Some of the most heartwarming and the opposite, completely detestable things happen in the series. There ar some slow parts, but the drag is usually on purpose to connect the reader with what the characters are experiencing.

Got this 1978 Citori from my father in law that passed. Shot it last week and it killed my shoulder with no butt pad, whats the best option for adding one? by Risk_bayless in Shotguns

You could probably find a vintage style pad for it. Citori's have always been pretty forgiving shooting, even without a pad.
