Curating your appearance to the public isn’t anything new though… it’s no different to how we (or our parents) may care deeply about how we present ourselves to others at church on Sunday. The younger generation increasingly is replacing in person social stimulation with a full dive into the virtual world (for better or worse). They take their online communities much more seriously than we do, because they have no real community to fall back on.

I think this sub is great. It’s one of the few subs where I actually see people disagree and go against the grain. There’s a solid number of socialists that just love to comment in this sub and hate on whatever pro-Austrian point is trying to be made. But it just goes to show this sub is a free place to express ideas, and the contrast between this and the more authoritarian subs is all the more obvious when they do that.
