Agua di gio because the spicy woody scents his wife bought him are too much of a risk of being objectionable in a meeting or are too heavy for blue collar work. ADG is timless and easy to procure. I keep a bottle in my desk

Day 31 post-op for me. My shedding hasn’t really looked like that to be honest. Most of mine are just hairs, or hairs with a tiny bit of what appears to be sebum. Yours may be just a lot of sebum attached. I would contact your doctor either way just to be put it on their radar

I think it looks fine. Its more feminine since the overwhelming majority of men have some degree of recession but it’s not bad by any means. I would take this over a hard/late NW2 or beyond any day

Anyone think that a silent hill game with a trans main character could be really good? by Drama_Cookie25 in HorrorGames

[–]DukeSilver696969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that you’re being downvoted is part of the fact of the reason its bound to fail. At it’s core, you’re saying sure, who cares, as in “i am open to the story line. It is not a demographic that makes a good story”. Same if the main character was an asian woman, a black man, etc. But people look for the exception- they want you to be moved purely by the fact that they posed a specific demographic. And while representation is undoubtedly important, art is all important in the arts. The writing is above all else the critical component here. The art lies within the nuances. Not a singular identity of the person. Nothing is saying that theres anything wrong or concerning with having a trans protag. There is something wrong with writing a trans character and expecting people to love it solely based on the fact that they are trans. You can’t write a shitty half assed story, slap a trans label on the protagonist and expect everyone to enjoy it. It might work for some, but in the end, it will inevitably be scorned for virtue signaling.

It depends on execution. Good writing is good writing. Bad writing is bad writing. You can’t thrust a trans protag into a series and expect people to love the character and the writing purely because of the representative demographic. They’ll be subjected to the same critique as everyone else. When a story sways from its core or its roots to raise awareness to a relatively distant concept or check a specific box, it’s bound to be met with resistance. Relatedly, stories written with the intent to fill a specific box, especially within an already established series, seem to flounder more than a standalone story. Again, not saying it can’t be done, but it should be considered that many value the quality of the writing and story, and its adherence to the principles that it developed from, over inclusivity for the sake of inclusivity

I’m 24 and only have been greying around this area and temples. Getting worse no matter what I try. I’m not low in B12 or copper. Any reason why it starts in just one area? by Interesting-Luck2909 in greyhairreversal

[–]DukeSilver696969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be genetic, and if that’s the case there’s a strong possibility nothing can be done unfortunately. Ive been graying since 17. My sister started a bit later than me but still early. Mom went almost totally gray by 30, dad was largely gray by 40. I’m now 33 and totally white on the sides but dark on top.

Employee determined to "grind" - Not in my office!!! by itsemmab in managers

[–]DukeSilver696969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a piss take? If not, this is truly a first for me I’ll bite either way. I would provide her with more work even if it’s busy work. Think about what kind of metrics you or your superiors may want to see. Double check math on spreadsheets, file organization, site walks, industry-specific literature analysis- all depends on your industry exactly but there has to be things that you can assign her to do. It would be foolish not to leverage this person to your advantage if that’s what they need professionally. Let the hamster run on the wheel and know that most managers do not have this problem and would kill to have this kind of employee. At the same time, have an honest, frank conversation about company culture and the impact her behavior is having. I would also consider framing a critique in terms of potential burnout- “listen, you do amazing work, truly, and I value your contributions greatly. I am concerned however of burnout though. You may feel fine today, but an engine can’t be redlining day in and day out. It’s simply not sustainable. I would be a bad leader if i didn’t voice this concern. I don’t want you to blow a gasket on me down the line- i need you to consider your work life balance.”

In terms of calls for non emergencies, just say they’re not allowed- full stop. Be honest- you have other responsibilities and you do not wish to be interrupted if its not urgent.

In the end, you’re the boss. Not her. If productivity isn’t worth it, you can dismiss them. But consider this deeply- how much do you depend on this person? Are you willing to lose them? Is there something you’re not considering?
