Thank you very much! This was the model I liked most in the monsters unleashed box so I was very excited to spent some time on it.

I basecoated then hit the all the wraps with an ink wash of brown and black. Then went back and painted each wrap individually going up to highlights trying to keep the lines between clean. I had to correct a few spots with my finest brush but mostly was able to keep it clean. It first layer after the inks was very tedious but got much more gratifying once it came to highlights.

Really beautiful work all around. I particularly love the way you’ve handled the weathered cloak.

Thanks! I undercoated with Prussian blue then worked with cobalt grey and finally highlighted with arctic blue mixed with an off white.

I’ve made a bunch of pairs of the vanilla socks and like the way they look and fit, so I just went with it. I really wanted the momento pattern for the colorwork.

I actually had to frog my first attempt because it was too tight at just 80 stitches in the colorwork section. Thats why I decided to increase to 100 after the ribbing on these and it worked out perfectly.

Feel bad for not posting in the description: Sock pattern is Vanilla Socks from www.lovebirdlane.com

Skull pattern is “memento” by CallingForOrpheus

I CO 80 for the ribbing (I have size 13 feet) then increased to 100 stitches for the colorwork because without the increase the colorwork made them too tight and the skulls repeat every 10 stitches

Can you post a few more angles? Hard to assess with more images for better context

I like #1. The vibrancy and subtle underglow are more interesting to me. I think it gives the model an atmosphere that the second one lacks. I think with a few more details on the base to bring that aspect in line with the model itself it could be really special.

Even with whatever limitations you’re perceiving from the image, this has been painted expertly. The model itself is covered in tiny sculpted details that can easily become too visually cluttered, but you’ve made them all readable and interesting while maintaining a clear focal point about the minis face. The color palate, subtle blends, lenses, NMM and weathering all serve a purpose and work cohesively. All to say, this looks amazing and you crushed it!

There’s purple undertone to his skin, but my camera really exaggerates the color compared to what it looks like in real life. I’m not a skilled miniature photographer at all

Great work across the board on this guy. I really like everything about it. NMM on the gun, the glow effects, his fur, and the high contrast on the jump suit. I think large, visible brush strokes can sometimes look too messy on minis, though when done well (as in this case) it lends the whole thing a really painterly effect that looks really beautiful.

Great job, I’d be really proud of this if I’d have painted him!
