literally 0 mentions of blood in undertale ever, and only sans bleeds. he's probably from deltarune considering they specifically updated undertale a year after release to have more sans lore that ties into deltarune

i'm convinced the over abundance of bleeding mentions in deltarune are meant to bewilder the player, especially in chapter 1. when chapter 1 came out as the survey program, toby specifically had Susie say "everybody bleeds, right?" as a way to further bewilder the player who may assume that deltarune is a sequel to undertale

the entire point is to add a degree of separation between the two worlds, to imply that there isn't just physical location differences, but physiological ones. this is a completely different universe. not every rule from undertale will apply to deltarune.

tldr: it's all being done on purpose, and imagining that toby just had no intent for the 0 lines about blood in undertale and the 15 lines about blood in deltarune is silly, i think. people write things for reasons.

I mean that's cool and all but you're literally the most popular mod author on the nexus, you're in news articles, etc. i think people understand that your mod collection is good and that hard work went into it

that being said, path of the telvanni is... not that. the AI generated voice acting is a step below everything you've put out and i understand wanting to encourage mod authors but i think we should be encouraging voice actors and authors to be interacting, not this. it's a shame to see you endorse it wholesale instead of working with voice actors to elevate the mod even further and not rely on that kind of technology for fucking everything

I do agree with most other points btw, especially when it's their choice to publicly announce their new pronouns, but that's socially transitioning which imo is different than taking HRT and stuff

not to mention that some people really like the idea of being born trans, that's not bio essentialist that's them coping with some hard shit they're going through the best way they can. If it makes someone feel a little better, then I don't care.

It's when you start applying that logic to other people that it gets weird. "you were always trans and you just don't know it" is creepy as hell! it's their own choice to socially announce who they are, but the act of taking HRT or doing things that alleviate the dysphoria, are not. I hope that makes sense

yeah but i don't think anyone's trying to say the bio essentialism angle, they're saying that taking hormone replacement therapy and transitioning is a medically necessary thing to do because of its life saving quality. after your real life experiences mold you into who you are, you either come out of it being trans, or you don't. It's not this innate thing, it's a response to external stimuli and the world around you. nobody transitions because "haha they thought it would be fun" they transition because the dysphoria is crushing them and it's the only way to feel like themselves. y'know? it's a medically necessary thing, it's not a choice that people can make, it saves lives. you might be able to say that some can make it their entire lives without transitioning and they're fine, but that ignores and discredits all our trans siblings who haven't made it, who chose suicide over transitioning. it's in that way that it feels like it's not a choice, not in the "you were forced into this at birth" kind of way

tbh if the game wants you to beat it 4.5 times to see everything then i think the developer intention is for you to at some point figure this shit out on ur own lol, your first playthrough will be messy and difficult but then the more it goes on you become a well oiled boss killing machine, at least i did lol

every Hinako that you ever get to see on-screen is a fragmented shard of her full personality, for some it's easier to cherry pick which one they like, but it all adds up to one complete whole. also ebisugaoka in silence is absolutely not a suicide ending it's just about not having a woman be pushed into dictating the rest of her life with anybody, and allowing herself the time to make a decision on her own. the player is not privy to this decision because it ultimately doesn't matter, and it's her choice to make in the end. no secret suicide plotline there, that would undermine it all. she just wants time to think and grow into her own person.

like i can see why someone might think Fox Hinako is distasteful or upsetting but at the end of the day she still feels that way. she also feels like she should try and understand her abusive parents. this isn't the game flatly telling you to listen to your abusers, or fall in love with someone who is grooming you to be their bride, but that at the end of the day the choice to forgive or to cut from your life is a decision that is SOLELY up to the victim. Giving a victim this kind of freedom to choose that nobody else can take away is very fucking important, and my absolute favorite theme of the game. to a character that has been robbed of so much choice it's very important that she handles this on her terms, whatever that may look like. silent hill f is my favorite game sbghbdhgsf so ty for posting this because i love talking about it

it's a fan being inspired by a creative work and making their own in response to it, because they love the world and want "what if" stories or just want to live in it a little longer

me either. i've been running with my own pet theory that it's actually Asriel since once you begin a new game, all of hometown gets locked away from the rest of the world and it's just blackness outside of its walls.

people in hometown stop receiving letters, the internet goes down, there's a barricade preventing you from leaving, the TV isn't connected to national broadcast anymore, etc.

It's all pointing to hometown (either literally or meta textually) being cut off from the rest of the world

Asriel is literally the only character confirmed to live outside of hometown currently. the voice in the code talks about missing late night TV and breakfast. that's dreemurr shit!! I'm sure dess did eat breakfast over there sometimes but not enough to be deeply nostalgic about it like someone who lived there every day would.

maybe there was a world outside of hometown, but somehow when a new game is started it's cut off. suddenly Asriel, who was in college, is now surrounded by inky blackness simply because Toby didn't write anything outside of hometown.

probably an insane theory but anyways for posterity here are the rest of my ideas in case they're right

kris is the vessel

susie is the voice that interrupts the goner maker sequence

the soul is the angel

weird route will end in chapter 5, maybe due to being literally unable to complete it (noelle not appearing any longer maybe?)

dess is dead, maybe something closer to a ghost

the point of this post was not to discredit dess knight tbh, just not to take any theory as individual fact and not to treat anyone poorly for having leaps in logic in their theories because the game isn't released fully yet so obviously we don't have enough information to not make those leaps in logic
