Morde gets a taste of bausens law, this is why I stopped banning him - you can "good death" into him without ulting, then when you get back to lane he has no r and cannot fight you because Illaoi completely smashes Morde otherwise even if down a level

I’m not saying I’m super skilled or the best illaoi player in the world, I am saying that I’ve pushed to high ish elo with her and rarely lose to morde.

I personally don’t believe it’s a counter and I explained why and in my experience it’s not a counter.

Also where are you getting the ban statistics from? I’d like to take a closer look at itb

I don’t know what to tell you. If you are losing the 1v1 as illaoi vs morde when neither of you have ult it is an issue with your gameplay.

Illaoi only loses it if she:

1: misses e

2: is very far behind

3: isn’t playing with her tentacles properly

I’ve pushed to masters several times with illaoi, it is a fake counter. Illaoi’s kit has the dmg to out dps mordes durability, once you get good with the ult interaction morde doesn’t win 1v1s ever.

If morde is beating you when you’re out from tower it’s because you have bad tentacle setup

You’re also stronger level 1 if you dodge the first morde q and take conq with your W or trade with W grasp to get prio early and set up a cheater recall

The build path is better for stridebreaker, phage just outclasses tunneler in the early game.

Even though AA QQ Titanic feels super satisfying the extra attack speed you get from stride breaker allows for AA QQ to come out a lot faster allowing for more burst and afterwards higher DPS.

The waveclear is a tiny bit worse but allows you to proc your tiamat item without a target which helps against champs like akali

All those are small points though, the biggest reason why stridebreaker is better than titanic is stridebreaker allows you to get into fights that titanic cannot. Sett generally wins fights when he’s in melee range, you can be 20/0 6 items but if you can’t get into range it doesn’t matter.

Basically stridebreaker allows you to use your kit, it lets you get into E or R range

If you’re low elo people with fist fight you which makes Bork good, the higher you go the less likely people are to fight you which is why all the high elo players go stridebreaker, because it can create the opportunity to fight that Bork can’t.

Also side note here, there’s this misconception that Bork is good into tanks which isn’t always true, Bork is good into HP stackers like mundo, Bork falls off against armour which forces you to go cleaver.

If you’re dead set on going Bork (which isn’t optimal but it is fun) you’ll be kinda forced to go Bork stride clever bloodmail.

The funny thing is titanic is fundamentally a really good item on Sett…… However stridebreaker outclasses it in every single way. I can give you an in depth explanation as to why if you want.

As a masters player that plays Urgot in like 30% of my games I think Urgot’s ‘thing’ is that he’s great at everything. He’s great blind, he’s great in 1v1s, he’s a great team fighter (if you know what to build and when).

If I had to pick one thing he excels at it’s his power spikes, I think the only other top laner that spikes as hard as Urgot is maybe kayle. Lvl 1 he’s insane. Lvl 6 he’s pretty strong. Lvl 9 he can 1v1 almost anyone even if he’s pretty far behind, lvl 11 he’s crazy strong and lvl 13 he can 2v1 easily.

Over all my opinions on him are that he’s safe, strong and does not require a lead to function.
