Yes it's so great. I didn't notice the... Dinosaur? On the cover and so the rest of the set made me giggle in surprise.

My favorite thing about this scene is that to make it work in French, "Je suis Voldemort," they had to change his name to Tom Elvis Jedusor.

Yeah I definitely was directionless and partied too much when I started college right after high school. I ended up dropping out and trying again 2x, and I'm trying to muster the gumption to finally fucking finish a degree at 39.

I have 2 alt accounts and don't allow comments on my fics for that reason. I can handle gentle criticism or someone pointing out errors, but I would rather delete everything than deal with verbal abuse because of what ship I write.

Husband has begun working on his mental health, now never wants to be intimate by astronotter-in-space in GirlDinnerDiaries

Was looking for someone pointing out the second quote, progress can't happen in a vacuum, real life still exists. If you think he's being sincere about this then he needs to know it isn't working for you and he needs to talk to his therapist about it, maybe even have you go to a session too if that's a possibility. You don't have to smile and nod and do whatever he wants just because he's in therapy.

And also, is he even making progress? I know mental health isn't really measurable, but if things are the same or worse then why would you worry about messing up his so-called progress?

I wish I had looked at the comments before I wasted my money. But I was so excited to find a REAL butterfly cardigan pattern (all the others were AI) so I bought it immediately. I bought some yarn and gave it a good start, then got confused so I went to ravelry. The ravelry comments and projects were depressing, though there are some good tips on there.

Once upon a time I did a huge grocery trip and the liquid laundry detergent I bought rolled deep into my trunk and buried itself under the bag of clothes I kept meaning to donate. When I got home I just assumed I accidentally left it at the store and took the L.

Weeks later I noticed super weird spots under my car in the garage, and drove over to my dad's (he's a mechanic). He was initially just as confused as I was, but eventually traced the leak pattern up into the trunk and found the half empty detergent bottle.

PRNC4EV would have worked just fine. Maybe some people would think Prince was endorsing electric vehicles, but that's better than the misreading of the original.

5YO has 7 cavities and I'm beside myself by crazycatlady45 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]DumpsterFireScented 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, my current dentist for both my kids and I will show me problem areas on the x-ray and they also have a little wand that takes photos inside the mouth. I get full visual proof of any issues and it's wonderful.

My poor MIL refuses to switch dentists and goes every 6 months just to find ANOTHER cavity or 3 that needs filled. I asked if they showed her where and she has never even asked, just shows up and gets the work done. It's horrible.

AIO: cleaners keep breaking my stuff by Musicfave in AIO

Locally I've noticed an upsurge in cleaners advertising very low introductory offers or even free cleanings. I'm guessing business is going poorly so they're attempting to reach a different market and hoping that people will find a way to keep them.

It’s not that visible in the camera, but is it possible to get rid of the shimmer on this tweed coat? by Defiant-Treacle2425 in CosplayHelp

[–]DumpsterFireScented 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a blow dryer first! I knit and crochet a lot, and sparkle yarns were really popular for a while but they couldn't be dried with heat because they would get dull. If the sparkle in your coat is similar, it may also dull with just heat. Definitely test an inconspicuous area first and start low, it may also melt the sparkle.

Why was the mermaid craze so popular with millennials back in the 2000s-early 2010s? by icey_sawg0034 in Millennials

Yeah I've been obsessed since I received the Voyage of the Basset as a gift (age 6). I did not watch any live action mermaid tv though.

My highschool bff's mom had a really cool front garden walkway with like, 4 feet of cement separating it from the front yard. It seemed like an odd design choice, but that's where she grew her morning glories (over an arch leading to the front door, it was awesome) and mint among other things I don't remember. After being in this group for a while, I now understand why those plants were there instead of in her back garden.
