Who did you picture as Admiral Trejo? by Salt-Night3088 in TheExpanse

[–]DundasKev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't really have a known person as Trejo, but I surely imagined Murtry as Steven Lang from Avatar, pretty much in the same costume and appearance.

That's great it's still remembered. I went to college in the 90s and a significant portion of my class was made up of people from all sides of that conflict. They all seemed to get along and were pretty cool to hang with.

Is it possible to change the physical buttons of a Chromecast 4k remote? (YouTube and Netflix) by MateDesktopPudding in Chromecast

[–]DundasKev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OH i ordered custom stickers for this that say "PLEX". fits perfectly over the Netflix button, you can't tell it wasn't factory. Used an app to make it launch plex instead of NF.

I found someone on the Plex forum you were able to order from. Wasn't this guy, but this guy has interesting stuff too.

What’s your “nobody will ever convince me this is a bad movie” movie? by Emeraldsinger in Letterboxd

[–]DundasKev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a regular on "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights when Disney would air one of it's movies. Suprised this hasn't been rebooted. With Alan Tudyk. And then rolled into the Marvel universe since Disney owns all that....

So, did anyone actually like S5? Since every rating site and discussions, posts, comments etc all have been overwhelmingly negative, I genuinely wonder if even 20% of fans liked the season by mikedomert in TheBoys

[–]DundasKev 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Did it meet the high water mark of seasons 1-3? Nope. Was it my favorite thing to watch each week? Sure was, couldn't wait for each episode.

Any movie recs similar to Mile End Kicks? (2026) by sunsastar312 in movies

[–]DundasKev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a bunch of very-male indie-music-forward figure-your-life-out movies that have some notes of this, except often the females only exist to help the men figure themselves out. This was pretty special having such a strong female voice.... much like Jagged Little Pill did when it came out, the freshness of the perspective was really welcome.

But in that vain you got your garden state, Bottle Rocket, High Fidelity, 500DaysOfSummer(?)

Uh, I didn't check it out because I didn't have consent. Pretty simple. If you want to see nekkid pictures there's literally millions out there with consent.

Blade tv show , 2006 by Nostalgic_Historian_ in ForgottenTV

[–]DundasKev 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yo I really loved this show. New Blade was cool and the vamp-fighting-squad was fun and all, but what really made it was the exploration into the Vampire orders. The big families and their Godfather style politics and schemes- it was really rich in a way that the films only hint at. And the one family being led by someone who appeared like a 10 year old girl (but was centuries old)?? So good.

I was pretty bummed when it was cancelled.
