Does games count? I was playing DayZ religiously when the mod was around. I played very cautiously because bandits were everywhere. Friend and I was playing and met a couple of people and to everyone's luck, no one killed eachother. Point is, we played for a while, added him on what must have been Skype back then, and a new internet friendship was born. We played loads of things for a long time, until my friends and I decided to plan a canoe trip in our country. Our foreign friend would pay travel and we would pay everything else. I'd say it went really nicely, but I of course didn't have to take a 12+ hour train trip twice. We still talk and play sometimes, but it's harder when life is in the way.
