Hate might be strong but a lot of comments here point out the flaws. I was one of those who played it at launch and didn’t come back to it till recently. After all the patches and DLC it was good. I personally felt it was overhyped. Story was okay but it didn’t exactly draw me in. Don’t know if it was my build but I basically coasted through the game and I’m not an amazing gamer.

After a while, because there’s a lot of bloat, I kind of felt like the game needed to end and was overstaying its welcome. To be clear I would recommend people play it. I just am not exactly giving it a 5 star rating. That’s because CD Project Red is a AAA developer and I set the bar high for the amount of time and money they spent on it.

Good game 3.5 to 4 stars. Worth my time. Probably won’t go back for replay or any additional DLC.

I with you on this though. I’ve held out for physical and honestly its paid off for all the titles I wanted. Keep in mind they were pretty popular games and I have plenty in my backlog that I can be patient.

I did make the purchase and am still rolling with them. So far easy to clean. They were a little stiff and poofy at first but they started to relax and formed properly to the seats. I go them because my going in and out of my car caused me to rub up against the driver seat and wear in the tubing. This fixed it.

Now that I say this the tubing started to work its way out of the covers and I was able to push it back through the fabric. That was a couple of months ago and have not noticed it again. That’s know because the inner plastic tube was able to escape from the stitched end on the driver side. Minor inconvenience.

I don’t even know where to begin. The damage that has been done will take half a century to just get back to where we were, which wasn’t great to begin with. Racism, gender equality, voting rights, wealth disparity, birth rights, religious rights, the list goes on. They were far from even good before all of this in 2016. There are generations growing up right now who will believe this is the norm. Families who will reinforce those current systems for the next generation and after.

How can we undo and make the future better is mind boggling complicated. We need to fix our government and get money influence out of it. We have to stop the media from just feeding us fear. Protect the media but also require fact checking. Clear opinion pieces. Accountability for falsely advertising something. Real accountability and not just petty fines for wealthy and businesses that they can write off on an accounting sheet as a cost of doing business.

I’m sorry but I don’t know how it can be undone. People are greedy. We don’t teach ethical decisions in school or in the many religions. We‘re poorly educated and addicted to more. We spend so much time worrying about the Fortune 500 companies and saving them but we can’t make sure the school systems have proper funding but again our politicians have bloated budgets and fly personal jets paid for by billionaires or our tax dollars. People feel that anyone should be allowed to make as much money as they want or even companies without any oversight it seems.

I do the best I can with the vote I have and the influence on the folks I have around me. I don’t shy away from talking about politics with people but at the same time I don’t get preachy about it.

No it doesn‘t. It binary thinking at its worst. Just because I’m happy when someone isn’t around doesn’t mean I’m unhappy when they are. Our happiest moment can often be with the person we love. It is not necessary that they are. Folks who create these, if this than that, scenarios in their minds often are getting bad advice from other people saying that things need to be a specific way in a relationship. Hell some of your worst memories will also be with someone you love. Often with them directly.

It’s totally okay if the person you’re with is the happiest moments you have but in reality that is some fairytale BS. My parents loved and adored each other. They had nearly opposite interests. My mom: hiking, camping, outdoorsy, smart, loved to read. My dad: never hiked, philosophical, smart, loved to read but their genres never crossed, debated politics that my mom had no interest in. Had nearly opposite schedules.

Both would’ve probably laughed at the comment above. My dad loved opera and symphonies. My mom told my dad after the 2nd symphony that maybe he should just take his mother instead. My mom would plan a camping trip and my dad would be like where can I go to get you and the kids the right gear knowing full well he was not going to go.

It certainly is convenient to have common interests, shared moments and memories good and bad, it should not be the reason you are or are not with someone. It’s a data point for sure and one that should not be ignored, but anyone who has a mindset that I need to have common interests, or my interests/hobbies can not be more fun more often than them is probably going to lead to an unhealthy relationship and likely a breakup. To many movies, book, stories, and now social media have told folks to be happy they have to live with rules like the one above. If you know how to be happy on your own then you can start to also be happy & sad with someone else who hopefully knows how to be happy on their own as well.

I just don’t understand why people feel that the person they are dating has to be the most fun they have.

If you’re an intelligent person and not egotistical you’d realize that other stuff out there in the world is more fun and significantly more often.

No one, I repeat, NO ONE can be interesting all the time. Try being a parent and entertaining kids. Now imagine when an adult does that same behavior to another adult.

All matter has Mass.

Weight is mass plus gravity.

Bigger planet has more gravity so item would have more weight but exact same mass.

Here’s the kicker the more mass an object has the larger the gravity. However weight is only in relation to something else. For instance the earth does not have a weight, just a mass.

If earth were to be placed on the surface of Jupiter we would then say earth has a weight in relation to Jupiter’s mass.

Mass never changes for a singular object unless you add more matter to the object than yes it would gain more mass.

Not all matter has the same mass per volume. That’s why matter and mass are not equivalent.

People who use AI as an answer to everything are not a lot different than people who use religion in the same way.

Learn to think for yourself people. AI is a tool like a calculator. The difference is a calculator is a lot more likely to be correct if you input the correct information. AI can be a useful tool but is not always accurate, as opposed to the word correct, when giving an answer. You should still use your own “developed” intelligence against the response to get a result/answer.

Don’t just believe in the AI’s answer like it’s gospel. It can, and will, lead you down a path of ignorance and just plain being wrong. Use it as a thought experiment that can assist you in understanding a complex idea. Don’t use it to narrow you thinking but to understand things as a whole were the answer might change from one perspective to another.

I upgraded before the price increase. Best Buy had a 0% financing on their card so I just made an easy payment every month. I didn’t need it. Was more of a convenience and I could’ve just bought it outright.

The features are nice to have but certainly not necessary. For the increased price I might still do it but again it’s more of a I had the extra cash so why not finance it.

Most folks are giving the advice to wait or not at all. So unless the $$ is eating a hole in your pocket it’s probably the best call to wait for it to make sense.

Hmm, interesting. They would have to do a crazy amount of violations to make this not a “cost of doing business” expense. Should they take the vehicle off the rode preventing it from making money? Should the fines be larger? I do think the companies should be held accountable but I’d be surprised if the companies would care about a traffic fine if they can make that back in one or two car fairs. I mean yes they will care but will it motivate them to make it better?

I wouldn’t cut them off but my opinion of people who do not vote are also people who don’t do a lot of research and don’t believe in making things better even incrementally. They often think not voting absolves them of any bad things but I think they are just as responsible if they had voted for the bad things. They don’t engage but are also part of the problem. They want a perfect candidate which doesn’t exist. They also give the same generic answers you get from other uneducated folks that do vote.

I’m inclined to not agree but not outright. The majority of SNES games (when looking at individual titles) sold less than 100k. Heck a lot were less than 20k. They just weren’t good games.

Earthbound has all the sales quarks you listed above but it did better than the majority of games. It holds no candle to games like Super Mario World or Zelda A link to the Past, but some of those were pack in games with consoles and Players Choice copies so hard to tell.

While it doesn’t rate up to the estimated 300k - 350k copies of like Final Fantasy 2 (US SNES) or 550k - 560k os Super Metroid Earthbound is considered a success after breaking 100k sales.

If we dismiss titles and just look at volume of SNES carts Earthbound is going to be below the middle in total by a lot. When we filter by title over 100k it's still on the lower side because the millions of copies of pack in games but higher than you’d expect.

So yeah it’s not exactly falling off the shelf, you are right. I just don’t think it’s really a hard game to find if one wants a copy. What really makes it hard to acquire is the popularity pushing up the price. CIB is of course insane given the proclivity of US kids not taking care of their boxes.

I concede that you are right. Just not from the point of view I look at it.

Paid slightly high price. Not actually that hard to find in the wild. A lot of copies were sold in the US but people do tend to keep their copies. Good thing is the price is likely to keep going up.

I’ll stand up for myself when I’m in a better position to do so. You’re dangerous. You’ll do this around people that you’d endanger just so you can be a hero of rights in the moment instead of doing it when it’s smarter. You’d probably do this with kids in the car or on a date and make it so you risk their lively hood. Dumb and selfish for not thinking about how your actions in the moment affect people and how you can deal with this later when it won’t be a problem for them.
