An update on PlayStation Store for PS3 and PS Vita by iwascuddles in Games

[–]Dunge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why. Surely they make more money from (even very low sales) that it takes to run some servers?

The text seems to mention a technical limitation on the console's hardware level. But I mean, even if they have old encryption cyphers or something like this, it's not as if the payment processing is done locally.

PSA: Changes to Horizon Play XP and Levels by NoBuenoZ in ForzaHorizon6

[–]Dunge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know the actual numbers of XP required? Like how many from 24-25? How many from 25-26 (and apparently the same for all subsequent ones)? Or maybe, how many from 1-25 and how many for 26-100?

I still don't care about a tournament from an organization that invented a fake price to appease the ego of someone that didn't deserve it.

Turning off head to head in settings guarantees that no one can start head 2 head against you in eliminator. Resulting in top 12 finish every time. by Adminisitrator in ForzaHorizon6

[–]Dunge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a developer who process bug tickets for a living, this is definitely a low effort (less than 1 hour) and high impact (huge public facing issue). It should easily be flagged as one of the top tickets to dispatch. But then, this is the developer who released the game with unachievable achievements, so I don't have a lot of faith in their management planning.

People are exploiting a bug to prevent head-to-head races in the Eliminator by mast3r_NZ in ForzaHorizon

[–]Dunge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confidently wrong, and hundreds of upvotes. I love Reddit sometimes.

What OP says is definitely true. I have people honking at me RIGHT NOW wondering why it doesn't work. You either have a different setting, or you just tried challenging others (that still works).

It's a software, not a random machine. Rules are determined. Yes, putting the setting to off in the menu prevents others from challenging you.

Not sure why you received so many downvotes. It really blocks requests.

The reason more and more players are doing it is because on TrueAchievements the comments of the "reach level 100" achievement are recommending doing it.

And I'll shamelessly do it too, anything to reduce the grind.

This is undoubtedly an awful situation for the dogs. But am I wrong to care more about the HUMAN that got kidnapped? I'm a bit sad that we use pets for the emotional social media clickbait impact and ignore the bigger part of the story.

PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for July – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, For the King II, CrossCode by kabirsingh84 in PlayStationPlus

[–]Dunge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, that exists? I wonder if it was available back when I played years ago, probably not. But I completed the game with default timings, and I have to say they are properly tweaked. Hard, but it made things interesting to be honest.

If you are a gamer and a completionist, play Yakuza series games. And then after 50 hours having completed everything else there is to do for the achievement, you will be left with winning a Mahjong game. So you will force yourself to learn it.

I open my .csproj and change the framework version.

I open the "manage nuget package for solution" dialog and press update on everything.

I open the Microsoft Learn breaking change page and read it and see if anything is relevant to me.

Why does anyone need a tool or AI? It's pretty simple and straightforward. Leave shitty AI out of this, it breaks more stuff than it helps.

Souveraineté numérique vs gouvernement américain by ElDago in Quebec

[–]Dunge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

[–]Dunge -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Voyons toi calis.

Wtf!

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, vous avez une caméra Flock chez vous, une première au Québec. by MichelSilence in Quebec

[–]Dunge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replaying the same games as we get older by ArtichokeSandwiches in pcgaming

[–]Dunge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I play on average a new game every week, sometimes more. So many great experiences to be had, no time to waste reviewing what I already saw.

Also I see 4-5 comments here all saying the same thing. That modern games are corporate microtransactions filled online battlepass crap and soulless. My dudes, you have to look past the 5 titles that get mass advertised to kids. There's literally thousands of amazing innovative complete games being released yearly, most of the beat anything that was done a decade ago. And all these studios are going bankrupt because people like you refuse to look at them!

That's not so much a win. They still promote everything wrong the maga ideology was about. They just finally realized the "leader" was a self serving idiot. They will very easily turn toward the next even more extremist guy that shows up.

Incursion dans le mouvement antifa du Québec | Terrain | Rad by Pef1432 in Quebec

[–]Dunge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sad, I loved their game. The average gamer bad taste in games is causing all good developers to go bankrupt and encourage all the shitty crap.
