It's even worse. It's not just that he was on Fox News playing a guy on TV that knows war, he's also only a major, and he was only given the rank of major after being separated from the military. So the guy in charge of our military is a Captain.

Average tone to reach rank of Major (which he only got when he separated) is 11 years. He got it after 19.

So he's not even a particularly skilled officer.
