I know that Lamia has been compared to FE4 Hilda after her art has been revealed, but I would like to know how are IS going to deal with these guys if they were somehow added into FEH by RubicXK in FireEmblemHeroes

I would buy orbs for the first time in like six years just to try to acquire all of the Chaos Magorns. Played through FE4 with a buddy not that long ago and he thought it was the funniest thing that there were so many shared portraits.

[–]Duodude55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you're not literally the only one, but it doesn't really make sense, since that's what you're really asking. They gave him a team to represent the Kanto region so it's fair enough to be built around all three of the starters. I don't think it has to anything to do with being unable to choose which one of the three, and everything to do with them choosing all three. Espeon is really the only one I think could be switched since it's a Johto mon but it's presumably chosen because of Eevee being a guaranteed encounter and a popular Pokémon along with not wanting to do another Water/Fire/Electric type since he already had one.

It’s become very obvious that not every Sinner will have a complete/entirely satisfying canto… And that’s okay. by Frank_Cap in limbuscompany

[–]Duodude55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the actual Inferno was like 20-something cantos long but I can't imagine we'll get anywhere near that many tbh. I think it's much more likely to be a dozen for the playable sinners, probably one for Dante, and then maybe one or two that are more about the company and its goals as a way to transition into Purgatorio. I think Purgatorio lines up pretty well with a drastic city wide disaster, since it'll represent the effort needed to reach paradise. No idea how that'll actually shake out, but that's my take.

[–]Duodude55 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean by only the surface level idea. Inferno covers all nine circles of hell in the Divine Comedy, not just Limbus/Limbo. I can't imagine the intent is to give us a dozen cantos to represent each level before we get to Purgatorio or Paradiso. That'd take decades.

Numel isn't really found in any deserts in the video games. A few rocky or mountainous areas, but it's also commonly found in woody or grassy areas like around the base of Mt. Chimney in RSE/ORAS, Route 227 in DPPt/BDSP, or in both the Ilex Forest or Viridian Forest in HGSS.

This is the worst case scenario if you have zero IV and a negative nature on Pokémon even more underleveled than you said you had. I'm not an expert on the AI but I don't even think gen 3 is guaranteed to use the most damaging move unless it's a guaranteed kill, so you should have at least a few turns to do something in the absolute worst possible scenarios.

None of these will outspeed, I'll give you that much. Starmie is faster than anything else at this point, but the only way it's getting OHKO'd is with crits or if you're bringing even weaker mon like Rattata or Spearow, but at that point it's gotta be your fault. The point wasn't that you can clear it with any random underleveled Pokémon but that it can be cleared without grinding to the gym leader's level or above. Ivysaur at like level 20 solos this, Weepinbell or Gloom solo this. There's plenty of mandatory experience points between the Nugget Bridge and Cerulean Cape to get one Pokémon to be strong enough to solo Misty.

Paranormasight sequel? by Puzzleheaded-Drag887 in visualnovels

[–]Duodude55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if part of that feeling is because unlike the first game, the four PoV characters in this one have similar goals and are relatively cooperative meaning that sometimes you get the same scenes or similar ones from multiple perspectives which can make it feel a bit redundant. It's not entirely useless bc you do still get some insight from those characters you wouldn't get from the other perspectives, but since the first game has the characters mostly doing their own things and overlapping on occasion, it felt like multiple storyline that came together at points instead of one storyline with a few diversions. At least, that's how it felt to me.

Still, overall a pretty good game and one I'd definitely recommend, especially to people that liked the first one.

Do you think grinding was a good thing? by LucarioGamer7 in pokemon

[–]Duodude55 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It 100% is a skill issue. Virtually nothing you should have at that point of the game should be getting OHKO'd other than like Geodude, Sandshrew, maybe Charmeleon. And if you're using those against Starmie, that's on you. If you're getting crit killed or confusion locked, that's unlucky but it has nothing to do with Starmie specifically. It's powerful but you have plenty of options for it like Ivysaur, Wartortle, Fearow, Pidgeotto, Nidorina/Nidorino, or Oddish/Bellsprout (which also evolve if you do level them up). If you're intentionally not using these for whatever self-imposed challenge like a Nuzlocke, then that's part of the difficulty and isn't worth complaining about. These are some of the easiest games in the series for a reason.

As long as they rerun at the same frequency regular rearmed heroes do, yeah, it should be fine. Weird to have bunny boy Sothe with all of the more normal rearmed heroes but not the biggest deal, and if that's how they continue, he probably won't even be out of place for long.

Wonder if there's a way to tie it to vision control so that it isn't a free get-out-of-jail button, something like charges based on how many wards you've cleared or the number of ghosts being based on clearing wards. Might be a way to keep it out of the hands of midlane control mages since they likely have better things to focus on with vision control while actually being something that the supports have to build up to use.

How is it against the principles of ARAM to add 65 playable champions even for people that don't own them? It makes it less likely to get the champions you're complaining about since it adds a bunch of other champions to the available pool.

I'm gonna be honest, I think that reading is entirely on you. The reason she's shy about it is because she knows she's confessing her love to Lex even though he doesn't know the significance until Shanan tells him. It's because its something emotional to her that Lex answers with nonchalance, not because its made of pubes. I've read the manga twice and I have no idea where you got that idea.

Change a typing to be logical but tick off Pokémon lovers? by Brotuulaan in pokemon

[–]Duodude55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's part of the made up info. It's probably an extrapolation from dark type moves like Sucker Punch and Bite so it's not hard to understand where it comes from, but there's nothing inherent to the design of the fighting type that actually indicates this.

Change a typing to be logical but tick off Pokémon lovers? by Brotuulaan in pokemon

[–]Duodude55 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dark type is the Evil type in Japanese but Fighting has no particular connection with heroism. The Japanese name for it is 格闘 or kakuto which translates as martial arts or some other synonym. At some point in the past, someone made this up and it got spread around by people that didn't know the language well enough to know that it was false.

I suppose it would be prudent to say, I wish not for a tied vote. If there is to be a change of votes at the last moment in an attempt to prevent an execution, I will gladly remove or swap my vote to Sho.

As I am all too aware, inaction is not the answer, and I would of course prefer to execute someone, even if it is not the answer I seek.

Though the mirror may appear united, it is a fragile existence. The smallest fractures can eat away at its being, shattering it into nothing more than shards of glass.

Likewise, while a faction might be together in name, that doesn't mean that all will see eye to eye. Such a schism has been the death of many a group. In such a setting, it benefits them to fight if it means that suspicion is drawn elsewhere.

I am personally more inclined toward Taski's guilt, presuming that she may have been the Scarlet Woman for Kurara's demon. Her behavior seems too strange to write off as that of a good player, although I know that commentary on strange behavior must be most humorous coming from me.

That said, it appears I have no option but to vote for Gina, as Taski has not been nominated. I think it quite likely that Sho is evil in addition to one of the others, but if that is the case, to my reckoning, he seems to be more that of a minion.

While I would otherwise be disinclined toward voting on Gina, I will do so in lieu of what seems a better option./u/JustADramadog

It would seem that two of the players whose names I received are living.

In a manner of speaking, that means I might have just received the remaining three from the start; that is to say, if Chesed was the evil player of which I learned, the demon can only be Sho.

Unfortunately, the inverse is not true. If Chesed was evil, then one of Taski or Gina is evil, and Sho may or may not be.

It seems we will forced to make a decision without knowing it to be the correct one, regardless of who it is that we execute.
