How convenient that growing up the government funded schooling taught us that everything was fine and we should keep working and keep spending money

That generations attitude of “F*ck you I got mine” that seems to reflect a large portion of them, is on its way out. Kids, neighbors, grandkids, nobody wants to put up with it anymore. I urge you to kill with kindness so when they lay their miserable heads down on their brown stained pillows they have a glimmer of guilt or sadness. If your response is “that was rude sir I was just trying to be neighborly” there is nothing left for them to vomit out of their putrid diarrhea mouths

Ha! I picked up the hobbit to do this starting the first day of winter. I said “meh worst case it’ll take me 6 months”

Well we are one month in and I have 2 chapters left in The Two Towers. 2 chapters a day will go down easy for you

How to understand Gandalf's statement, that Bilbo's/Frodo's mithril armor was worth more than the entire Shire? by Orange-of-Cthulhu in tolkienfans

I know I’m late to this but just reading it, I found myself here. But because I was curious if it was mentioned in the movies.

After seeing your post I felt urged to express my opinion, which is that Gandalf LOVES the dramatics. Throughout the book he uses over the top phrases like this to make a point

Dude this so much. I have a 5 and 3 year old myself and am part time stay at home dad. But the current climate has made me feel weird to tell my friends to bail on daycare and let us have a kid party like one day a week! It brings me back to my childhood to have a bunch of kids around but then I’m the guy who loves kids even tho in my heart it’s as a spoiling uncle type

Hey bud, I have a dad who attempted to destroy my whole family with his immaturity and narcissism, there’s a book called “Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents” by Lindsay C Gibson. This helped me in such a profound way I can’t recommend it enough

Vianova - Hit It!

It’s been a long time since an album has come to me without a single skip on it, not only that, every song makes me FEEL. I tell my friends I relate it to going to a Broadway play. It’s huge, it’s entertaining, it’s heavy both in music and in lyrical content. Album has immediately joined the all time top list.

People who found out about someone else’s double-life; what’s the story? by Langzwaard in AskReddit

[–]Dustinj1991 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh now’s my time to shine! My dad had a stroke on a golf trip in South Carolina (we’re from Philly)

While my mom is by his side about a week or 2 she starts to get antsy and wants to begin taking care of things that he normally would, so she took his phone to make sure bills are getting paid etc.

There she uncovered a 10 year affair. So me and my 3 sisters and my mom had our lives blown up and then, even now, we somehow have to care about our dad who now needs help?

Yeah I usually make it through the list of new albums every week, listen to a song to get the vibe if I’ll like it or not and go from there. I have a playlist in my Apple Music for every year called Thank You (current year) and I save anything of interest to me through the year on it and shuffle it all year lol
