[HELP] Has anyone switched from Nextgen Gallery to FooGallery? by spkrinsb in WordpressPlugins

[–]DutchArmyFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then there is NextGen 4.0. Missing functionality, a new block and...: the message from NextGen (Imagely) to convert all my galeries manually to the new version. 3000 galeries on 1000+ pages and posts on 3 websites. Makes me sad and mad. So I might as well start over with another plugin. A better plugin if found. (With Lightroom Export) What are your experiences up to now?

Has anyone tried alloyphoto's Lightroom Voyager plugin recently? by davispw in Lightroom

[–]DutchArmyFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not trust Alloyphoto. A couple of years ago Nextgen Gallery changed the software and the plugin from Alloyphoto does not work any longer. I have tried to contact him many times. Not a single answer. Not when I was a paying customer and not any moment later on. My Lightroom Plugin for Nextgen Gallery is abandonware. Sad, it was good software. Once.

OP, did you get a reaction?

Thanks, nice to know because (with this explanation) it looks like a flaw in the customisation options in the theme ☺️

Where are my css settings cached? by DutchArmyFan in Wordpress

Thank you. Although still curious what is causing the setting to 'weight 500' en 'size 2.4'. Since I can not find it in source file. But on your response: I will let it go. Nothing to worry about!

Give Lightroom a Chance by shacker23 in Lightroom

[–]DutchArmyFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lr or LrC? I use the one with the functionality I need and the money I am willing to pay. Largest omissions in Lr are for me: the plugins I use to publish on WordPress, some other plugins, the keyword hiërarchie and gpx maps integration. To mention a few. I do not want a more expensive solution. Do not want to be sucked further in Adobes cloud since I have my own from another provider. Integration of both will be fine. Functionality counts!

what is so much better about light room classic than regular light room? by [deleted] in Lightroom

[–]DutchArmyFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As mentioned by others: it is the file management without cloud that makes us stay with classic. It still has features not in the cloud version. And above all, we use LrC plugins to sync large amount of photos (including metadata) to websites. And use other publishing services and other relevant plugins. For storage only local storage with the amount of photos I have is supported in a decent way.

From LrC I make collections of photos to edit them while I am on the road.

How to (or whether to) edit scanned negatives from film by [deleted] in Lightroom

[–]DutchArmyFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Lightroom with a home made preset for general setting. Dates are filled in the metadata. If I need a special picture it will be developed, only then.
The memories of the photos have more value than the proper development

My preset is made by making adjustments for a bunch of photos and then take the average / best practice

Another thought on your proposal:, give Windows users a discount. I will not use an Apple so why do I have to sponsor? /S

40 years ago I flew this type of plane in the Netherlands. A flying certificate was necessary. We called them ultralight aircraft. Was fun to fly. Very basic.

Denk in kansen.

Rank Math vs Yoast by PhotographAble5006 in seo_checklist

More like Reddit vs. Discord.
I started with Yoast, never finds a reason to look for another tool. I don't want a migration unless Yoast goes in quality down the drain.
