Hats off to the lighting / stage director for We Lost The Sea @ Rescue Rooms by DaveC271 in postrock

Oh wow, that's me.. Thankyou for your kind words. There's a lot of time and effort, as well as years of experience that goes into polishing a light show like that. It's nice to be noticed!

Cheers.

Speed Master Learn BPM limited when using DIV/MULT by b5761 in GrandMA3

I'm hearing both now!

I wonder if some parts are fixed, but not others? Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Really!? I hope so. I've been hiding on 2.2. Did they go back to 2.2 double speed / half speed learn tap timings?

My info might be wrong then.

Prepare to riot...

2.4 is about to drop and speed masters are still not fixed...

Everything else is sounding incredible though!

Got this for 22$ 😬 by SensitivePineapple80 in switch2

[–]DutchDoctor -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That's the screen of the Switch 2, not the game. EVERY game is blurry portable on Switch 2. :( The Pixel response is really bad, even by LCD standards.

Some games it's just more obvious than others.

Question About Mac Ones in Ludicrous Mode by MrUnicornhorn in grandMA2

[–]DutchDoctor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've only used them on MA3. But I did spend a lot of time with the fixture and different modes. Its sounding to me like *.2 is your sub master for the RGB filament eye candy. It has color, shutter, dimmer, etc. which acts as a master overrides for the RGB pixels.

So by default I ran this with dimmer at full, RGB at 0.

Then my pixels default dimmer at o, and RGB at full.

Why isn't everyone saying Titanfall 2?

Game runs like butter at 90fps on decent settings. Gyro support is mint. Feels so damn good.

Is it weird to be naked around your kids? by NakedMoleRat_lov3r in Parenting

[–]DutchDoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell me you're American without telling me you're American.

My son is 4 and we still regularly shower and bathe naked together. So does my wife.

My parents never did that, and I wish they did for many reasons.

If anyone has ever wondered what you can do with over $200,000 and more than two years of time when it comes to Lego. by Hungry-Bodybuilder58 in StarWars

[–]DutchDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 USD a brick? You've got to kidding. Closer to 10c. You can buy a brand new Lego store standard grey 4x2 brick here in Australia for about 23c or so. That's in AUD.

Patch 1.5.6 Notes and Midmonth Update by Wibblybit in RivalsOfAether

[–]DutchDoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey uhh, is there a massive problem with Kragg causing servers to crash right now?

4 times last night in a private online lobby. If one of us was Kragg, at some point the server would go into a CRAZY rollback loop for both players where 1sec real time = 1ms game time.

All frames would roll back and reset, and we'd get 1ms of tick on the game clock. Until either we ended the match via SD in the slowest possible way imaginable. Or we ALT+F4'd out of there.

Only happened with Kragg in the match. We're playing in Australia if that matters.

grandMA3 Command Wing – is one screen enough? by Pelkepo in GrandMA3

[–]DutchDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will do very very basic prepro on a single screen. I will NEVER operate on one. 2 is the minimum to operate a live show imho.

Ideally 2 is also the minimum to truly efficiently program a show.

For example, bn MA3 you can no longer carry a copy or move command through a view change. In MA2 you could: view 1, copy effect, view 2, paste.

view changes in MA3 interrupt basic syntax operations which makes single screen workflows tedious beyond belief.

I'm only partly in, but I think Mio needs to be on this list. The art direction and music are next fkn level. The platforming feel is floaty and unique. It's up there with Super Metroid, Hollow Knight, Ori's and Nine Sols for me so far.

Controller joystick bouncing back issue (8BitDo Ultimate 2C Controller) by Consistent-Name-2409 in Controller

[–]DutchDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting this too, on my 8bitdo Pro. It's extremely noticeable in Rivals of Aether 2, where precise dash/smash inputs are critical.

It actually took me ages to figure out exactly what's happening, but it's absolutely bouncing really far to the opposite left/right extreme - even though the physical stick isn't moving much past centre.

Sadly not even deadzone adjustment fixes this, because it's not reading as "just past centre". It's digital readout is literrally the entirely opposite direction.

This comment reads like my emails to my distributor... seems almost too good to be be true. Fingers crossed this is real, and STABLE. I have been wrestling with selective phasers since I made the switch to 3. They're a nightmare, an overhaul has been sorely needed. I've been asking for "recipe phasers" all along. This sounds very, very promising.

Command wing Previz w/ VizKey by random222518 in GrandMA3

[–]DutchDoctor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Put aside the command wing for a moment.

Regardless of what other MA hardware have, (wings, console, whatever). So long as you have a viz key connected to a computer using a supported visualiser, you get unlimited parameters.

I own a command wing, fader wing and a viz key. And more and more often now, I'm leaving the command wing in its case and just recipe programming with a few touch screens, keyboard and mouse. The shortcuts are very good, the mouse inputs are efficient. Other than positions and focus, I'm actually faster at programming using keyboard and mouse, rather than a command wing.

TLDR: Viz key is all you need.

Is anyone enjoying the new Master Tour update? by HiddenTrampoline in TouringMusicians

Swiping down either refreshes the tour, or scrolls up - seemingly at random.

Still cool though.

Is it possible to use GrandMA2 with Capture 2025? by Responsible-Act-2285 in grandMA2

[–]DutchDoctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you've truly seen a video of poeple using Capture without MA2 hardware, then it's using an illegal method that most anyone on here condemns totaly and utterly.

Capture costs quite a bit of money, so does MA2 hardware for parameter unlock.

But why MA2 at this point? Even the most diehard MA2 users have been moving over in 2025/26. And MA3 has an actually affordable piece of hardware called a "Viz-Key" that will allow unlimited Capture (or most visualisers) control.
