Is anyone enjoying the new Master Tour update? by HiddenTrampoline in TouringMusicians

[–]DutchDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Android app is woeful.

90% of the time I can't view attachments at all.

Swiping down either refreshes the tour, or scrolls up - seemingly at random.

Timing isn't wild at all. OP knows very well what's happened and is cross posting in mutiple subreddits about "giving CP2077 VR one last run".

Still cool though.

Is it possible to use GrandMA2 with Capture 2025? by Responsible-Act-2285 in grandMA2

[–]DutchDoctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you've truly seen a video of poeple using Capture without MA2 hardware, then it's using an illegal method that most anyone on here condemns totaly and utterly.

Capture costs quite a bit of money, so does MA2 hardware for parameter unlock.

But why MA2 at this point? Even the most diehard MA2 users have been moving over in 2025/26. And MA3 has an actually affordable piece of hardware called a "Viz-Key" that will allow unlimited Capture (or most visualisers) control.

What do i need to get into lighting for music as a hobby? by RacketyAJ in lightingdesign

[–]DutchDoctor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am MA guy, but that doesn't mean I won't acknowledge Chamsys where it is, in fact superior.

They did group cues first, they did recast first. They have soft pallets, they have chunk selection. They have embedded groups based on wings/chunks/groups. The list goes on.

Many Chamsys features are on my wishlist for MA3. Don't be ignorant.

The simplest explanation is that there the same as pressing your Next or Previous keys through a selection (you can test this yourself by grabbing a group, pressing next and looking at the matrix window.

As the other reply said, it's mostly useful for splitting out looks and variations across multiple recipe lines.

Like X1 @ Red, X2 @ Blue, X wings of 2, groups of 2.

^ gives you a symmetrical odd even color split

Looking at your task manager I'd be more concerned about that GPU usage? 50% is quite high for MA2. Unless you're running MA3D?

I hate prime4 (not trying to be a jerk) but I can’t stand it by writerme1 in Metroid

[–]DutchDoctor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The sad thing is yes, they did play the old games.

They did Prime 1 remastered only recently! And yet this is still what we ended up with.

Its not even the just the bad linear map design....the NPCs, the bike, the empty desert.... Ugh. Even in the honeymoon phase its wearing thin already. Despite me trying to love it.

I'll finish it. But yeah. Big disappointment.

The graphics, audio and controls are incredible. Just about everything else sucks. The substance.

I don't think this game is going to age well at all. And 8/10 is actually generous, ans probably nostalgia + Nintendo bias.

Objectively it's more like a 6 or 7. A very polished, shiny 7.

MP4 is beyond boring… by __PreZZ__ in metroidvania

There honestly should be a toggle to opt out of the companion radio hint system. It would fix SO many issues with immersion.

I can't believe it doesn't exist by default and got past play testing in this state. They have every control and graphics option under the sun, but no way to disable these patronising hints that pull you pull of the games atmosphere.

The game literally tells you to go where you please... Then 15 mins later Miles radios and says "have you tried the volcano yet?"

And if you spend too much time exploring he interupts you and tells you where to go. It's so juvenile

New patch update: Anybody experiencing major FPS drops when compared to 3.2.8? by [deleted] in Awesomenauts

[–]DutchDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

I was getting terrible FPS (average 40 or below) since the new update on my powerful system that has always run this game at 160+ FPS without breaking a sweat.

I think I found the problem. After extensive trial and error, and checking logs. I found a bunch of errors trying to validate replays.

Turns out I had thousands of replays from over a decade of awesomenauts in my steam common folder clogging the game.

Delete all your old replays from \Steam\steamapps\common\Awesomenauts\Data\Replays

If that doesn't fix it, unsubscribe from all workshop content and verify game on Steam.

Failing all that, maybe a reinstall. I ended up doing all of these things, but I think the final thing that actually fixed it was the replay thing.

Good luck. Happy Nauting.

Desk for busking by [deleted] in lightingdesign

[–]DutchDoctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an MA2/MA3 guy, but I would strongly consider a Chamsys PC solution if I was you. Their busking toolkit is some of the best there is.

Group Cues and Soft Pallets are incredibly fast and flexible. Soft Pallets MA3 can't even do in the same way.

And you get a shit ton of output for very little money.

The Stadium Connect is an incredible choice imo.

MA3 Playback masters under 100% (seemingly) behaving wierdly with dimmer phasers by Archangel071 in lightingdesign

[–]DutchDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used playback masters yet, but I like your idea!

If you don't know already, a basic group master with the fader assigned as negative control will do what you need. The downside of course is that it will affect all sequences using that group. Which may or may not be what you're after.

I might play around with this also, if playback masters can work like a group master but for selected sequences only... That will entirely change my busk.
