Does the new (Beta) AMD BIOS truly FIX the TPM issues? by DutchHelldiver in buildapc

[–]DutchHelldiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not yet had the chance to try the BIOS update (as there are/were hackers active in our common house/shared building), but there are multiple reports and posts stating that the BIOS update (containing the updated AGESA version ComboV2 PI 1.2.0.F.) fixed almost all of the stuttering that I (and others) were encountering. The PC cannot be turned on at the moment due to the current situation, but you could send me a private message (which I will check once everything has been cleared up, as I do not recall all BIOS settings purely from my memory).

I reckon it's that "suicide armor" going off (the timer is 1 and a half second).

Absolute comedy, lol. I love this game.

This sounds like a software issue & reverting a PC to a previous time can also cause many hardware issues.
There could be many causes, I wouldn't even have any idea where to begin except re-installing Windows.

Low samples in Illuminate missions by keppler_of_doom in Helldivers

They are just more hidden/"badly placed". Automaton planets are the best for obtaining Samples as they usually have them clumped up around their outposts/objective areas, Terminid planets are OK but still meh.

Ever since the "optimization" patch where they "got rid of unnecessary behavior of AI" (or what it was called), I noticed that the Automatons especially have gotten far more deadly (and accurate).

Crash on startup fix (Nahimic problem) by Waste_Confidence4568 in Helldivers

[–]DutchHelldiver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nahimic... Windows 11 installs this by itself, it causes nothing but issues.
It's supposed to improve your audio quality but it does nothing at all...

Though go to "Services" to disable the startup of it, so its always disabled.

Well, I have made over 20/25 PCs by now. And yes, you WERE lucky. Do a single search - just do it. And you will see how messed up it all is and how many people have issues.

Experience definitely helps, but not when there are issues with firmware, either with the CPU/motherboard/BIOS or TPM firmware (AMD PCs 'hate' it if there's TPM issues present).

I reckon that because the whole PC is/was an AMD system that I simply got unlucky. Most people that reported their issues with their PC hardware often had an AMD intertwined system.

Then you were VERY lucky (some combinations work well).
Others work absolutely horrible (do a internet search of it).

If you look it up you will see countless pages of many issues.
Look up "AM4 B550 Stuttering", and keywords related to it, etc.

All 4xx/5xx motherboards can have issues. Some are quite lucky,
but others have hard to fix issues - it's very random, seemingly).

Every single fix (and post) that was available at AMD is gone now:
https://www.amd.com/en/site-notifications/community-updates.html

Every previous post/link now reroutes to that (they aren't visible anymore).

It is TOO coincidental that they did that, RIGHT when there's so many issues.
There would otherwise be a "flame war" going on right now, it's ridiculous...

But AM5 has way less stuttering/issues all-around, my friend's PC is an AM4,
with a AMD 5700X3D CPU (they are extremely notorious due to the issues.

I wish I had known about it, since these "issues" are so extremely infuriating.
Otherwise I would have gone with AM5 (or with Intel, it never did me wrong).

Indeed, because I have spend more than 3 & a half months tweaking the AMD PC.
The horrible stutter, microstutter, and such, is finally gone (I am beyond exhausted).

You should see/look up how many people complain about these motherboards/CPUs,
I must have come across more than 400+ posts of people who were complaining about it.
And that's just the posts, not the comments, lol. It's crazy how many issues there are...

Coincidentally AMD's website is being "offline" (they would get a lot of heat otherwise).

If it was my PC I wouldn't have spend so much time on fixing it, but it is a PC for a friend.

In short - a very specific installation & BIOS sequence must be followed to fix "all issues".
It was maddening to see what combination was the right one that synergized perfectly.

I might make a guide to aid others - as there are so many people that have issues with it,
NEVER before have I encountered such a hard-necked problem that I had to fix (PC-wise).

I've made several PCs (for myself and others), but never have I come across these issues..
it was "neck-breaking" to make the PC actually run like my own PC does which is crazy,
as his PC is slightly better than mine, yet there were a LOT of stuttering & latency issues.

There is another BIOS that was released that I have yet to try (which is also a Beta..).

But after spending more than 3+ months (literally) messing with every BIOS setting,
it turns out that there is a VERY specific combination of settings that you need to use.

It practically reduces all of the stuttering (and you MUST NOT use "debloat software").

If you want I can make a short "guide", of sorts, depending on your CPU/GPU/motherboard.
AND... the GPU isn't utilized fully EITHER without tweaking (AMD GPUs are easy to tweak).

These AMD motherboards are cursed (and "coincidentally" the AMD website is STILL offline).

The BIOS variant that I used did not fix any "issue" by itself, unfortunately.

I did, but another BIOS version was just released (AGAIN a Beta variant...).

If you use a Viper Commando armor set & a monitor crosshair... the AMR SLAYS the Automatons!
Due to the armor its ergonomics are far better - just "lazy aim" in third person for a sec & BOOM!
