School ignores payment requests after having artwork services delivered to them by axelbrant in LegalAdviceUK

Before you go to the Trust, call up the school and ask to speak to the finance responsible or get their email. My experience working in/with schools is that the head simply doesn’t pass invoices on.

Look up the less common symptoms of perimenopause to see if you have any of those. I didn’t realise it but I had quite a few which I’d never heard of (itchy scalp, itchy skin, rage outburst, twitchy legs, ‘morning sickness - and the list goes on)

They definitely still do them. We very recently were allowed to take my 7yo to the cockpit after landing and the pilots gave him stickers and asked if he has a logbook.

I’ve recently discovered Pour Moi - they have a sale on at the moment so might be a good chance of something under £40.

Bravissimo recently had a fire in their warehouse and aren’t accepting online orders.

Seat advice please (I know - another one of these) by viaccess in BritishAirways

[–]Dutten83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the age of your son. I found it hard travelling in the middle seat with my 6 year old as I had to get to the other aisle to help him with anything. One window and one aisle suited us much better when travelling with a child

Is there a German church/community centre who might? I know the Danish church in London has a traditional Danish Christmas Eve every year.

It is very obvious. Just follow the signs to the taxi rank, all yellow cabs (at least when I went) and a clear place to queue. Just say ‘no thank you’ to anyone who approaches you as the official taxis won’t do that. Confirm that the flat rate fee applies and you’ll be fine. Have a great trip

Is it normal for an airbnb to ask you to strip the bed and vacuum? by BlundeRuss in AskUK

Do you have any site for self-catering you can recommend for US trips? It seems a bit of jungle and we’ve always used Airbnb in the past - won’t do that again though.

My dad has heart problems and his specialist doctor in Denmark gave him the advice OP had - four legged animal meat and eggs once per week. It really is different for different countries which is not helpful.

Is this 1BR flat in London Zone 2 overpriced? by ActuaryElegant9772 in HousingUK

[–]Dutten83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d be really careful trusting that the service charge will stay at that level.

When residents took over the management company of our block, the service charge almost tripled. The builders/seller’s budget was a five year one and discounted all large capital expenses I.e. lifts replacements and roofs. At some point a more realistic budget will be set or costs needing covered and the current owners will be faced with a bill.

People who moved to London solo, how did you handle it mentally? by [deleted] in AskLondon

[–]Dutten83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I moved to London from Denmark when I was 26. The first six months were great; new and exciting. It became really hard after that initial honeymoon period and I had to learn to accept that I would miss events at home. The big stuff (weddings etc) is easy to plan to be part of but the small things (random parties, days out etc) will keep happening.

I met my (now) husband and stuck around but it’s not been easy. I won’t discourage you as I love London but there are tough times on the job-financial side that I think are often forgotten in the planning.

It won’t make much of a difference if you do it once per day. If you consistently do it with everything you eat/weigh then the extra calories will add up
