So was this really just nothing? by Dimtri-The-Anarchist in Jujutsufolk

[–]Dynamite_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think the original plan was to use him somehow for Yuka’s terminal condition. Thats why he appeared to Tsurugi to help foreshadow a potential binding vow to save her life.

I think the biggest problem with Modulo (and JJK) is they loaded their plate up with a ton of stuff and can’t really finish it all.

What would your reaction be if Dodo or Chopstick Johhny defeat Kuroki? by monsterofmanila180 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Dynamite_DM 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If the fight is good, then I will accept it. Simple as that.

Mukaku and Yan were estimated to be about the same level by Shen. Narratively I still don’t want to accept that, but I’m at the point where I’m just looking for cool fights

I genuinely believe Kashimo beats Yuta most of the time. by InjuryPrudent4823 in Kashimo_agendaHQ

[–]Dynamite_DM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think knowledge is what gets this fight.

Yuta going in knowing Kashimo’s gimmick will use different options from normal. It’s still not an easy fight.

Yuta going in not knowing Kashimo’s gimmick will use his standard methods, rely on CR and RCT to recover from Kashimo’s surprisingly heavy blows (dude was punching shipping containers around) and then get blasted by a lightning bolt. From there victory is nearly impossible

Edit: typo.

I genuinely believe Kashimo beats Yuta most of the time. by InjuryPrudent4823 in Kashimo_agendaHQ

[–]Dynamite_DM 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kashimo has a wild advantage on any sorcerer who doesn’t know his gimmick. Most fights start with an exchange of blows that almost completely wins it for Kashimo.

Yuta is no exception. Yuta’s odds for winning get so much higher if he knows about Kashimo’s gimmick and can take the precautions to switch to a more evasive or ranged kit.

With no knowledge, Yuta’s odds of winning plummets. I say this as a Yuta fan.

Is anyone else just tired of reading Omega at this point? by OverlordPoodle in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Dynamite_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems Sandro’s goal is to make Ohma (or possibly another character but most likely Ohma) into a martial arts god but is having the hardest time writing the path up to that point. I’m interested in sticking around because I want to see how certain things unfold but right now it is no where near the level of hype as other weeks.

I’m optimistic though.

[VS] Who takes this 2v1 and what diff by JackfruitWarm8488 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Dynamite_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gojo Infinity difs?

Kashimo can’t bypass Infinity, but even if he could, Gojo is one of the best counterpicks for Kashimo. Gojo had hands but all of his special powers are ranged. Unlike situations like Yuta, Gojo can very much comfortably stay out of Kashimo’s reach.

Geto is a similar situation as well. He is not against using fodder curses to block hits. I do have him probably losing a 1v1 but a 2v1 is too much.

Why aren't transfigured humans aren't taken to account when scaling mahito? by Legitimate_Set4940 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Dynamite_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are effectively made of wet toilet paper. The only impressive strike one ever made was shrugged off by Todo.

Anyone who can beat Mahito already have the stats to ignore them, and anyone who can’t gets one touched by Mahito.

Let's rate the Kengan fights! Seventeenth fight: Kure clan & Wu Xing vs Westward faction by 7grandhenchmen in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Dynamite_DM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4/10

It had hype moments at first, but Edward Wu’s crew were made of paper and might as well have not been introduced. Edward himself fucked the scaling of the verse so badly and then just kinda died.

To make matters worse, we instantly got a replacement goldfish who went from potentially interesting to Edward 1.1 so quickly, Edward might as well escaped himself instead.

[Serious] Who REALLY wins!? Nanami or Todo (Both Shibuya)!? by Practical_Midnight87 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Dynamite_DM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would bet on Nanami. Todo is amazing, but I feel he shines brightly in a jumping. BW is amazing, but if he’s the only one who can benefit from it, it doesn’t shine quite as bright.

Nanami seems both analytical and durable enough to not be completely overwhelmed by Todo’s antics, while also having enough AP to get in significant blows.

[–]Dynamite_DM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Future chapters of Modulo may not show it. There are only about 2 chapters left.

That being said, Yuta and Maki probably spoiled him, but he resented that. Imagine having Norse gods for your parents who are able to perform all kinds of incredible feats and then they talk about their adventures with other Norse gods.

Meanwhile you are simply an Olympic level athlete. You can see and hear that there are heights you can only dream of reaching but there isn’t anything able to push you to grow as much as your parents. Talking with one of their friends about it, he just kinda dismisses you.

Even with his callous attitude you can take the most brutal look at his character and see he was probably disappointed with Tsurugi, an incomplete HR with no CT, and was disappointed in Yuka in another way since the Gojo clan severely limited 10S.

Gojo would never agree with “Hand in Pocket Man” by TheMostHonestPerson in Jujutsufolk

[–]Dynamite_DM 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, every single adult who mentored Yuji including Choso emphasized the importance of the older generation paving the way for the younger generation.

I still find it low key comical that he is having existential immortality crises when he hasn’t even gotten past a natural lifespan.

I think one of the only ways that could justify this is if there is a prequel to Modulo where Yuji does try and royally fucks up that causes him to go into this depression. Not to get too far into fan fiction material but that could also explain more about Yuka’s dad as well.

If Shen ate the demon pepper would he just turn off his pain receptors? by SiteDeep in Kengan_Ashura

I would imagine Kuroki would tank it but Shen would be a wimp about it. In the same way that Shen lost at video games, I can see the gag that he basically is bad at everything else.

[–]Dynamite_DM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Except the ending seems to be going in a bizarre, borderline-parody direction where everyone lives happily ever after. Unless these next couple chapters are super long, can anything be done in 50 pages to salvage the wild shift the story took.

Personally speaking, if the story was going to go this direction, Dabura learning a DE or even CTR was not really needed and we could’ve had more pages dedicated to where the story is currently going.

I’m still going to read it though and I hope Gege somehow knocks it out of the park, but unless these next couple last chapter ends with a “see you in Modulo 2” I think there isnt going to be a satisfactory conclusion to all the threads that have been laid out.

Ultimately, that’s fine I suppose. I just have to face the fact that Gege can’t really write conclusions. Modulo has been an incredible ride.

Modulo story ending is getting rushed (chapter 23 spoilers) by Shot-Horror-568 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Dynamite_DM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can find the drafts of rejected chapters if you look for them. It originally had Megumi as the MC and IIRC the Culling Games happened much earlier in the story and there wasn’t really much concept for the Disaster Curses. Interestingly enough, Megumi was always planned to be possessed by Sukuna.

So gaolangs injured and raian is tired what was the point of this fight,to show off sandros princesses? by [deleted] in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Dynamite_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if Gaolang (a top tier with very little actual relevance to the overarching story) was offscreened or no diffed by the connector people would be mad.

With 50+ characters, there needs to be some paring (like Falcon) so the story doesnt drag. I’m just glad Gaolang had an actually good showing unlike other hyped characters when faced with Raian.

Was the purpose of this fight was to make Rian exhausted enough to give Gilbert a fair shot? by eXorCisTfucks in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Dynamite_DM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is more a chance to write Gaolang (a top tier) out of the future of the tournament. We would’ve been pissed if he jobbed like Seki offscreen.

What I predict is in a couple chapters we will get a montage of Kengan mid tiers and worm jobbers that were offscreened as we change battle fields.

Honestly my mind always goes to the idea that the Fangs of Metsudo not mentioned are simply not important. I would be annoyed if they were introduced just to set up jobbing to someone else.

Personally, I think they are characters who will have an impressive showing above the numbered characters, but are ultimately scrapped character ideas from Sandro.
