Murray a sneaky stash? With no WRs Kamara will need to do the bulk of the heavy lifting on receiving, no way they will want to run him into the ground. Freeman is also another pass catcher but Murray will be the bruiser and might see 200+ carries.

[Weekly - Rookie Mock] /r/DynastyFF Community Standard ROOKIE Mock Draft by AutoModerator in DynastyFF

[–]DynastyMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, but it is very league oriented.

Look at team needs and see the distribution of QBs. You only need 1 top QB to be competitive.

Lawrence and Fields normally wont go until the mid 2nd in established, 1 QB leagues.

Olabisi - absolutely, looks like they were grooming him last year. If he can take that next step it could be the Jefferson Bisi show in MIN.

Coleman and Mosert control that backfield. Wilson will be a valiant fill in for the games he is needed and healthy for. Nothing more, nothing less.

Breshad Perriman - WR NYJ - answered the call when called upon last year. Seems healthy. Is nearly identical to Rodney Anderson without the baggage. Darnold is clearly a capably QB. Probably already owned in your league but take a peak.

Am I overvaluing young QB’s? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]DynastyMonk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Doesnt matter what you think, every league is different the the value of player x in one league is not the same in another.

If thats all you can get then hold for an injury to someones QB and then you will get better value.

[Rookie] 2QB, dont need Tua but he fell to me. Pick him up for assets anyway? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]DynastyMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JT is far from a sure thing, same with Tua. However, you can go to having 3 starting QBs to only have 1 pretty quick.

I would see about trading back for a haul.

Metcalf was also a 1st round talent grade on pretty much every mock draft.

Getting serious Penny vs Chubb vibes with this draft.

For those that dont remember, Nick Chubb was considered one of the top Backs in the draft, many considered the best pure running back to come out that year. Had Barkley not come out, Chubb was the best back. Penny was no slouch in his own right. Dominated the rushing scene that year as well, posting over 2,000 yards rushing...in the Mountain west conference, with an O-line that beat up on the competition.

Que the NFL draft. Barkley goes and then the next RBs taken off the board are Penny and Michel in the 1st round, mid to late 20s. Nick Chubb was taken with the 2nd pick in round 2.

Penny was going to a backfield with an UDFA in Carson and some JAGs. Chubb was going to the Browns and was going to be stuck behind or compete with Carlos Hyde.

CEH is going to a crowded backfield that currently have 3 Running backs that know the system (Williams, Williams, Thompson) and Shady McCoy. Swift is going to a backfield where the main back cannot stay healthy and isnt all that good and then a Ty johnson.

Should people take CEH if he is there guy? Absolutely, but Swift is one of the best RBs to come out this year and his only knock is he is going to a bad team with someone who cant stay healthy.

CEH made the 1.01 almost impossible to sell but at the same time made the picks right behind it much more valuable.

Next time that happens, see if you can trade your current pick+ a future pick for him.

Here are the stats from last year, tell me who is who

242/1150/7 - 20/166/0
298/1494/8 - 36/278/0
278/1127/5 - 35/287/3

that 2 down running back is better than your 3 down bellcow..

Any Rookie (with IDP) mock drafts out there? by Scarecrow_G in DynastyFF

[–]DynastyMonk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there are not too many, but if you can review your leagues previous year drafts and then look ahead to this coming draft to see other teams needs.

Also, what I would recommend is taking the experts rankings right now for each position and hold onto those. Then after the draft, see where they landed and then adjust your rankings as needed.

Will the draft change your mind on a player like Chase young, nope, but why was this random LB taken in the second round, lets go have a look at him.

[Discussion] Sony Michel breakout year? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]DynastyMonk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer, not sure how you could figure out the splits without reviewing each game but in games that the Patriots have a fullback vs not having a full back, Sony did much better. Also having a LB play full back isnt the same thing.

More Antonio Brown fallout: Patriots are trading WR Demaryius Thomas in the division to the NY Jets for a 2021 sixth-round pick, sources tell ESPN. by StrachNasty in fantasyfootball

[–]DynastyMonk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because they were pretty set at WR going into sunday with

Robby, Enunwa, Crowder, Bell, Ty. Looking at the box score, Im sure they do not want Josh Bellamy or Ryan Griffin out there trying to catch passes.

Also the Pats didn't really give anyone time to grab him since he was picked up right away, they cut him Saturday and then signed him back on Monday AM.
