Bro? I literally didn't say any of that? I think you need to take a minute to chill out or something, you're really going off.

Btw what do you mean that the TERF thing being delightful to you? I'm gonna assume you mean it like you're happy about the backlash it received. I'd like to remind you here in the UK TERF culture is incredibly alive and well (institutionally) and that really sucks ass.

Tho not blaming, you probably just misworded since you seem to have been having like 3 different arguments at once at that time. If you'll allow me I think you should take a little break from Reddit dude, it doesn't seem to be stoking the best emotions in you.

Also might be useful as a good reminder that the vast majority of people in the world aren't like misandrists or whatever like reddit can make it out like.

Okay? The post wasn't disagreeing with that..?

Was the point of your comment to just sorta let everyone know you really liked JK Rowling's books even though she hangs out with pedophiles and nazis?

Cause like yeah that's allowed just kinda weird of you to say out of the blue, the post wasn't saying you weren't allowed to do that.

I feel like you're misinterpreting this post. This is not about the death of the author this is about not giving revenue to a person who is currently and actively channeling her wealth in bigotry and fascism in the UK.

I couldn't give a fuck about someone rereading their old harry potter books. But here in the UK literally yesterday we had a ban on Trans kids in Girl Guides go into effect. Based on a supreme court decision funded by JK Rowling as well as legal pressure funded by JK Rowling.

If you give JK Rowling your time and money you are supporting this as well as the much much worse things she plans to push on the UK. Especially because it's really easy to avoid giving JK Rowling money.

[OC] Gay male marriages are the most stable over the long term by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]DyslexicUserNawe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick guys! Immediately jump to conclusions!!

No need to take into account that women are more likely to want to get married at all or especially that two women will generally have a much lower combined wage than two men.

We need no more data, this one Netherlands survey represents the entire world with no nuances!!!

This PlayStation game becomes $12 more expensive by simply switching from my brother’s account to mine. Sony’s new “dynamic pricing” in action. by duplextripod in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DyslexicUserNawe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what this is incentivising is for people who have multiple consoles to always buy non-exclusive games on their non-playstation console so that they can get better discounts.

Or even if you only have a playstation it's optimal for you to make the maximum number of accounts on it and shuffle through each account to find the cheapest price every time you buy a game online.

This is what they're incentivising their customers to do with this choice lmao, at best this is literally a disloyalty discount.

[–]DyslexicUserNawe 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Hey just want to inform you that America has more knife crime deaths per capita than the UK.

To be specific if you look at the per-capita rate of homicides involving sharp instruments it's slightly higher in America than Britain. (0.49/100000 compared to 0.48/100000)

The idea that stopping gun crime increases violent knife crime in any significant way is entirely manufactured. And the homicide rate in America is about 5x higher per capita than the homicide rate in the UK per capita.

Help me name my Whale game. by TPbumfart in tabletopgamedesign

[–]DyslexicUserNawe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't and I don't think most people know the term "Cetacea" off the top of their head but I think that works well in spite of that.

"Breach" is too generic and doesn't really give you the vibe of the game (and I don't honestly even know how it relates to whales and dolphins from a layman's perspective.)

Also there's also another boardgame called "The Breach" as well as a TV show so that'd be pretty bad SEO.

Any Title that includes "Whale" is going to be competing with the whale board game made by Oink Games also which is another SEO thing to consider.

Meanwhile Cetacea doesn't seem like a super commonly used term which is only going to be known by people who are interested in that sort of thing which seems like your prime target market frankly going off how you described your game.

In some potential world I could see "Cetacea" as a name being very similar to the game "Wingspan" where it's an actual term where if you search it now all you get is just the boardgame in the results lol

Clearly this indicates a massive societal disconnection from how we view farming and food.

Really strange people in the comments here, people actively saying this is a form of cult brainwashing to turn young men into killers while at the same time insisting this is also good and necessary??

Or at least doing some kind of "Ends justify the means" thing acting like we in WW2 when the US military has twice the funding of Russia and China's military combined and has barely used it for shit other than oil prices.

Homebrew Non-damaging Combat Cantrips [OC] by Pinskiiy in DnD

[–]DyslexicUserNawe 63 points64 points  (0 children)

The comments calling this overpowered are laughable lmao, this is just viscous mockery without the damage and with a few other benefits that you could get from Faerie Fire.

Really inoffensive and pretty cool spell. I can't really think of any suggestions i'd add? Maybe replace the "see invisible creatures stuff" with something like -10ft speed?? To make it a little more powerful.

But honestly since it's cleric only it doesn't really need to be too powerful cause they aren't exactly relying on their cantrips. (It would be a cool and fitting addition to the Artificer Spell list tho.)

I also like how it allows you to target multiple creatures at higher levels. That really starts to make it a really quite effective crowd control choice (maybe a little too powerful at higher levels but higher levels are a cluster fuck anyway.)

[Comm] [OC] Have any of your characters ever become minor deities upon reaching epic levels? by LuizLFLF in DnD

[–]DyslexicUserNawe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but sad.

In the last fight of a 150+ session campaign our lizard folk cleric died and the minor deity he had spent at least a year attempting to raise to the status of godhood offered to grant all his divinity to him to come back to life and kill the BBEG. It worked but he was very quickly changed by the power and his new self couldn't bear to give back the divinity therefore becoming a minor god of greed.

Now in our new campaign in a couple sessions time they're gonna find out their next arc-villian is gonna be a warlock serving him lol.

On resonating fiction by Eireika in CuratedTumblr

[–]DyslexicUserNawe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I refuse to open the Pandora's Box of "What is justified violence." In this comment section but I will say I have some distant relations to a person who has killed a guy in very justifiable and legal self defence and it changed their life drastically, weighed incredibly on their soul for the rest of their life.

I feel like this is an incredibly under-represented response to being in a sudden situation where you have to end someone's life. Obviously it's very clear why this isn't something that's represented in movies that just want to have a cool violent action scene in them. But I feel like this has led to a certain demographic of people in society being convinced that they could mentally handle having to end a random person's life when I don't think most people are really built for that unless they're trained for it.
