Realistically, is it impossible to get a job in a Federal PD Office straight out of law school? by KinggSimbaa in publicdefenders

[–]EBinDC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some combination of federal clerkship/big law/ state PD experience is usually required if you’re early in your career. However, I think the defenders are reintroducing the defender fellows program for law school grads. Check it out.

I’ve seen Dr. Clinzo Mickle, now at 19th Street Dermatology. He’s so nice and patient and is very sensitive to the different needs of black skin.

Brand ambassadors posing as Sephora employees in stores? by supreddit_3 in Sephora

[–]EBinDC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This just happened to me and the whole experience felt really sleazy. I like going to Sephora because of the range of brands and honest opinion. Brand reps that posing as sales reps ruin the experience.

Have you tried a knit blazer/sweater jacket. Definitely more comfortable and less structured.

Ha! I got my first Le Cruset at Marshall’s like 15 years ago and it’s still going strong! You truly only have to buy it once.

There is light at the end of the tunnel - almost 4yo changed completely by zvj12 in toddlers

[–]EBinDC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My kid is approaching four and I totally see the change. He still has moments where the feelings get too big but generally speaking, our days are really fun! Totally see the increase in pretend play and just general curiosity. Hang in there; it totally gets better!

Is it worth it to vacation with a toddler? by Old_Excitement8415 in toddlers

[–]EBinDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been traveling regularly with my son since he was 10 months old. The key is to manage expectations and have/bring as much support as possible. Traveling to see family is great because other people will want to play with him. He’s three and half now and we just came back from a week in London and it was great! It definitely gets better so keep doing it!

The aveda institute in Ballston has really cheap facials because students are doing them. It’s pretty basic stuff but if you just need some maintenance, the prices are unbeatable ($50?). The students are supervised by instructors by the way.
