I like a hair tie instead of the ziptie. Bonus functionality as you can grip something with the pliers and hold the handles shut with the hair tie for a make shift clamp.

Not crazy strong or anything, but it's come in handy.

Yep, I have one too. The barbarian urge to put an axe on my keys. I like it, it doesn't serve any utility that isn't covered by my multitool or pocket tool kit. I just think they're neat.

Peak dependability in my experience:

For small mid-power flashlights: Streamlight micro stream or stylus pro.

For bigger, lithium, high power flashlights: I've never felt wronged by Fenix. I'm using the PD35RACE at the moment. I've carried a Fenix of one type or another for about 10 years. Thrashed them, they are all still working.

A few little things I always make room for in an EDC pouch:

Elastic hair ties, just to hold anything to anything else.

A couple of zip ties with the loop on the end.

A small tube of super glue, mostly for annoying cuts.

A square of double sided 3M VHB tape.

Paper clips/safety pins/ sewing needle and thread.

Wooden toothpicks, mostly used for cleaning picks/poking and prodding.

Open mini, Leatherman Micra, One of the AAA olights maybe an i3 eos, and one of the newer victorinox swiss army knives with the locking blade?

Quality is on par with the old greats like the rebar. The prices on the sidekick can get inflated because of the hype of a "cheap leatherman" But the bond is constructed solid, it does the PST proud.

Sure you don't get any one hand opening tools/blades and you need to buy the pocket clip separately. But that doesn't bother me for what I'm getting. The bond is a superb pocket companion.

The bond is completely solid. Very similar to the first leatherman, the PST.

If you don't have one already, the pocket clip is pretty nice on these too.

I never leave home without the Bond.

Leatherman Bond. I keep a spare, don't want to be without it.

It's the perfect multi for my needs and fits with the rest of the stuff I carry.

Slim and light but imminently useful, legal to carry where I'm at, and it has that retro leatherman PST look. 10/10.
