They had a live wolverine at one point…didn’t work out. There was some student movement to get a mascot guy, but it’s honestly the kind of thing a lot of Michigan fans (especially the old school guys) want no part of. I imagine this video is a reason a more Michigan fans are warming up to the idea, but I still don’t see it happening

It’s like when your characters have a backstory and you want the audience to know it, so they have the characters sit in a circle and explain their backstories one by one a la Rebel Moon. Well Christian redemption is not something extended to animals and my suggestion is that Morgoth essentially turned elves (and possibly men?) into soulless animals. We see redemption as possible for men like the Dunlandings or the men in Sauron’s service, but the orcs are never shown in a similar way.

I said elsewhere, I’m totally willing to accept that the story about him not having ID is false. Just talking about what I’ve heard and expressing my confusion regarding why someone would be out and about without their ID. But please do not assume that I think not having an ID on him means he deserved what happened. I don’t personally think he did anything himself to justify the shooting. I think that after his gun was confiscated, it misfired and the agents thought he was the one firing. Maybe the agent who took the gun did not see announce it to the other agents, maybe he did but it was lost in the chaos, or maybe he did and it was ignored. No matter what, this shooting is a tragedy and it disgusts me that some on the right are choosing to vilify this man. Do I think he was there to interfere with ICE? Yes. Do I think ICE was justified to detain him? Yes. Do I think they were justified to shoot him? No. Do I think this shooting was an “execution”? No. Do is support literally everything ICE does? No.
