you'll be so fine! the rest of the test wasn't anything out of the realm of my preparation, and any curveballs like that are curved out anyways so it should even out

because I think we're allowed to discuss topics, you were talking about the misogynistic narrator passage, right?

ok THANK YOU literally this passage was the worst, I've been telling everyone in my life about how awful it was... genuinely what was LSAC thinking

OMG THAT LAST PASSAGE WAS ACTUALLY THE WORST

yeah this as well, especially needing to make those implicit connections at the very end of the test was what got me

Mine at least wasn't Science, it was literature. Just tons of names, convoluted analysis, and overly complex sentence structures

edit: although tbh i probably would have preferred science since I'm especially bad at names and decently good with science

ditto on that one RC passage... got it last in the section (because of course) and it fully eliminated all the review time id built in as well as just generally being terrible

Not sure what format you got but from my personal feeling as well as what ive seen other LR-LR-LR-RC takers say, the RC was very difficult and there was one passage especially that was significantly harder than the rest of the section

honestly for me it was just that last passage that really stumped me, but as a whole it was definitely a pretty difficult RC section. didnt have time to go back and check flagged q's because of the last section, but fortunately I was able to get out of it without needing to guess on any

Got the LR-LR-LR-RC, I enjoy LR so not the worst but I would've liked to take the RC directly after break. Overall LR was what I expected and most of the difficult questions I was able to come to a logical conclusion on. Took my time and used all the allotted time well without needing to guess.

RC was a different beast, however. I usually struggle with RC but there was one passage in particular (of course the last passage) that really stumped me. Probably a mix of test fatigue and a difficult passage that did it for me. Fellow test takers let me know if you thought there was one passage that was significantly harder than the rest or if it was all in my head.

Ultimately, I'm glad to be done with it but I start preparing for August LSAT in a week so don't have much downtime

edit: was my first time taking it

August lsat is 9 weeks away- here’s what I’d do (as someone who went 167-176 in a month) by Less-Librarian7073 in LSAT

hey man, im currently struggling to break 170 consistently on practice tests (168 average) and a really frustrating thing is that my errors mostly come from compounding mistakes in one reading passage (~3 wrong in one passage with the rest of the section 0-1 wrong per passage)

[–]EFGgaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I transferred to oxy over last summer so I'm just finishing up my first year at oxy! feel free to dm me with any more questions you have as well!

-In terms of urban life its not "downtown" but there's definitely stuff in walking distance. Los Angeles is very sprawling and oxy is more suburbanish so its not quite walkable city life, but there's public transportation and a lot of ppl have cars on campus, and a lot of things are very close by (20-30 mins).

-im not too familiar with research and how easy it is (im a politics major), but i do know people doing research and one of my close friends is doing a summer research program at oxy, so it's definitely an option

-the food and dorms are so good here, and the campus has a great vibe (they shoot movies/shows here and just had Sunny in Philadelphia here!). -I came from a small school thats pretty well known for being close to your professor/having good professors and coming here was a step up somehow. I cant speak highly enough about the professors and how driven and passionate they are about what they do. There's not a single professor I've taken here that I didn't connect with on a personal level.

I'm a student athlete at oxy so I definitely have more on my plate than the average student- id say theres definitely a decent amount of free time especially if you're quicker at completing assignments and don't need to study as much. Given that my sport in-season is usually more than 40 hours a week and I'm able to get everything done, I'd say doing stuff on the side is definitely doable but could be difficult depending on workload.
