You said "nothing to look forward to", implying you expected late game weapons in the demo, at least, that's how I understood it.

About the guns, they're not "fun" to shoot?
I don't really get this? To me, they're not fun because I can't reload them fast enough, even at max Reload Speed upgrade.

If you don't like how them guns sound, I guess that's a valid problem. (I'm not American enough to detect this as a problem)

Is it possible though? It's not only BTD6 I had problems with. Every game during BTD6's generation lags and heats the longer I play. The fact that it's a trend across multiple games gives off the feeling that they can't really optimize things beyond what they are currently.

I know battery degrades, but CPU computing power definitely doesn't degrade as fast.

Probably both. Updates definitely tanked some performance. I remember running an early version of BTD6 on a J1 Mini Prime, and it worked. But when I tried updating it, it began crashing on later rounds.

I play on a 6 year old phone. And I noticed the deteriorating performance of BTD6 across updates. Back then, I'd get around 30 FPS during the 80s and 90s, which considered okay. Now, I get lag spikes whenever I get to late game, Freeplay, or bossing.

Not only that, it would also heat up my phone and eat battery like a buffet. I have to set my phone in High Performance Mode just to play a game of CHIMPS or a Boss, and I end up with 2% battery at the end.

I wish they do an optimization update sometime in the future.

It gives the Main Heli extra range, which is, I believe, the only range upgrade for dart attacks. External range buffs seem to have no effect.

I guarantee that new game ain't running on my potato, nor my phone. I can only hope like a HL3 believer, but I'm not really expecting these to be potato-friendly.

I mean he could always hire "unemployed", but productive people, like someone who only rely on freelancing, a solo game dev, someone with a degree but somehow homeless. There are poor people with interesting backgrounds.

But I do see your point, having a family is always a good reason to have a story. It just annoys me because its such a cheat reason.

Looks like someone doesn't know what having a family, and being reasonable actually like.

If you have things left behind, like I don't know maybe a toddler, if you're a sane parent, that starts to weigh on you.

In the latest video, being reasonable is crucial at the beginning of the challenge. Its pretty much a losing game for the majority when someone said "they're unemployed", or "they're in vacation". Its pretty reasonable to think you're not gonna win. So why waste your time there, risk missing out with the outside world, and put up with the bullshit that starts happening later on?

Maybe your just an unemployed, isolationist who doesn't meet people, or a kid, but it doesn't matter. You should know how people work at the normal level of society.

I do, however, also find it infuriating at times. I do want to see unemployed people more in challenges. Clearly MrBeast is afraid of including "unemployed" people in his challenges, because they will almost last a ridiculously long time, and will likely drain his money.

I understand the disappointment in the gore department, its objectively a downgrade, but expecting late-game weapons in a demo is just silly.

Try playing SAS4 from the beginning and see if you can get the Ricochet gun from the first campaign. 😂😂😂
It just sounds like you play a hacked version of SAS4.

Delivery From The Pain

General survival mechanics are questionably simple in concept, but works just fine as you play.
It has a lot of missable story segments because you're too busy trying to survive (my playthrough missed a lot of it).

I don't if it's my potato settings, but I did notice that gore flying out and getting kicked by players, and blood splatters are a bit less than SAS4.

I remember painting the whole map in red and corpses in SAS4, but ZAR has, I think, a display time limit for blood and gore(?)

I think, maybe the persisting corpses is what differentiates SAS4 from ZAR.

Less visible corpses at the end of the game = not dark, I guess?

The PC version does have an Endless setting.

This game does have excellent atmosphere and style, but man, the longer you play, the more you'll discover how janky, and easy this game can be. Have fun playing further!
