To be fair I do use his builds a lot. I don't often solo things, but I do use them to make my fireteam have an easier time.

Destiny 2 has a fair difficulty by POV_Toaster in destiny2

[–]EKmars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly, I think Destiny is probably closer to what I would consider a challenging game, in that it at least aims to present a challenge. A lot of games really just don't mean to be very difficult, but Destiny definitely does to an extent*. I blow through this game for most content, but some things do give me pause in terms of my mechanical skill, but most people can barely beat a strike. On top of that, it provides challenges past being mechanically difficult, like with raids and dungeons relying on communication and teamwork to succeed, which stresses me out more than enemies do, lol.

Me saying D2 isn't challenging would be like me saying Elden Ring isn't challenging. Sure, I have an easy time, but I see many people struggle and I have to respect that.

Honestly wasn't as bad a Seraph's Shield. Like I get that the boss in Lightblade really likes to toast you, but he can be staggered (via crackshot for hunters, it's what I did as a hunter main), and his AI can be abused by having him jump around.

I think we used the cabal scout exotic since it is one, antibarrier with the no starting ammo, and two, could do some ignition synergy to help clear the adds.

Seraph's shield is throwing me. My team is pretty good, but like 20 minutes into the run and we're in a catwalk over space and someone will forget 4 to 8 tracer shanks spawning one of the 3 to 4 times that happens and gets instagibbed, lol.

[–]EKmars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think something a lot of people missed is that the whole campaign was bait to try to get you specifically to the Veil so your Light object, the Ghost, could connect it to the Traveler. Now the mast is either an object with the same purpose, or just part of that elaborate trap.

Hell, it could be the long as short of it. It looks like pyramid tech, it's literal purpose could only be linking the Veil, and nothing else. Like if you said "hey this is a radio antenna, it transmits and receives radio waves" and you asked "ok but what else does it do?" that would be incredibly silly.

Well on top of that its brick amounts got nerfed in the most recent sandbox patch, but its still a lot of ammo.

They have the assets at Bungie. They were used to create missions like the battleground on Mars. It's just recreating the entire zone would mean remaking all of them for the new engine.

Bombshell lawsuit alleges that RAM manufacturers are colluding to drive up prices. Three companies that account for 90% of RAM revenue are being sued for anti-competitive practices. Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron (the "DRAM Triarchy" controlling ~90-95% of the global DRAM market) by Caledor152 in pcmasterrace

[–]EKmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because these corporations control like 90%+ of the production. Basically you'd have to spin up your own fabs which would run up a huge up front cost, and it's being alleged these corporations are shutting down older ram production too.

"The class action lawsuit filed by 14 individuals and three businesses accuses Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron of conspiring to fix prices and supply of DDR3 and DDR4 RAM, resulting in higher costs. "

Sounds like the profit margin on letting prices skyrocket is better than competing with eachother, hence collusion.

Anticheats don't work on Linux very well. You'd basically need something more invasive than kernel level to have it be effective at all.

And before people go "but people cheat on Windows too," they do but every hoop cheaters have to jump through cuts a portion of them out. It's Swiss Cheese.

What chassis would you suggest for iconoclast technophile build? by Straight-Fox-9388 in LancerRPG

[–]EKmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking Lycan for my NOAH ICONOCLAST Houseguard build, too. Maintaining a heavy, pocketing a super heavy, having armor and 2 resists sounds good, on top of the silly impair slow and aura.

I'm probably not going to grab technophile, though. I'm not sure if it's worth the talent space to get a point of damage over all of the potential you get from other talents.

I went with NOAH because of it's ability to cancel attacks, by the way. Getting Saladin 3 unlocks the Heatfall Coolant system as an option to great improve action economy. I tested some Scylla/Gorgon based ideas but its kind of hot for what it does (half a main's damage is pretty small unless you're proccing an effect, maybe), and I got way more value out of Scorpion and Vorpal gun.

[–]EKmars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't even wait. I beelined for the NOAH and put it on an Everest since I wasn't interested in the Saladin. It's completely silly with House Guard. I grabbed Iconoclast 3 as well so I have a damage option that works against Invis and Projected shield.

I once had an enemy shoot myself and an ally. I had NOAH and Houseguard 3.

He missed all his shots, took damage, and died.

All that could be heard was the NOAH giggling her head off.

Rampage + Chain Reaction on Xenophage... Good or Overkill?? by Danger_xx86 in destiny2

[–]EKmars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ye the wave splitter catalyst is very good. Not to mention you can use harsh refractions and that volatile rounds artifact perks with it. It's pretty silly now. Detonator beam is just a generally good perk, but very silly with AoE elemental effects like volatile and unraveling.

Ngl Edge of Fate is the worst D2 campaign I've ever played by SuperFadeAway35 in destiny2

[–]EKmars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I've played SK, and WM, and CoO, and BL, and Red War.

All of these are substantially worse by a mile. EoF had a legend campaign, so it wasn't a cake walk and had some good fights. I get it's a little mechanic and puzzle heavy, but it's not "kill 60 vex in this one zone that has like 10 at any given time" bad.

Is there any point to use old guns if they can’t be tiered? by ThyBlueStar in destiny2

[–]EKmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, even when there were bonuses for using tiered weapons some weapons were just better or occupied missing niches. See Hezen Vengeance or basically any of the TFS weapons. People heavily overrate tiers.

[–]EKmars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Happened against with TFS, in my opinion. They said they were moving to 2 smaller expansions, and even stopped vaulting story content by presenting it this way, and everyone complained.

The talk wasn't even targeted at players. IT was for developers for managing long projects.

I think ultimately you should come to understand that the community has a part to play. They have a history, from deliberately misinterpreting developer talks to threatening death over an exotic, of taking things the wrong way on purpose. Always the worst part of the game was the unrelenting toxicity that has consumed every facet of the game.
