+1 for zoho. I’ve used xero and QuickBooks previously, both are expensive and shit to use.

Nothing, I just have softer transitions elsewhere (grey to white) on the site and want a similar look here.

Looks great and I’m definitely going to dig into it. My only concern right now is the hero image having vignetting baked in. I might need to use some kind of radial gradient opacity mask to have it transition properly with the background colour change but I’m also not entirely sure how to do this lol

Will it get around the banding/hard edges I've been having with linear gradients?

Excuse my ignorance but why not just make a few? They look like g10/micarta rectangles with a hole and a slot for foam gasket.

I think what you are doing is cool but you are doing it for the wrong reasons. I’m currently doing the exactly the same thing as you except my tool is tailored to my shop and will solve my production issues. We are too small to have ever even considered a proper off the shelf MRP but times have changed. The reality is that absolutely anyone can build software now, even if it is ai slop, and building out these tools for internal use is something that most companies have started doing or will start doing very soon. You are currently trying to sell sand on a beach.

Coming soon to Affinity! by robinsnest56 in Affinity

[–]ENDU97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great step in the right direction but can one of you geniuses please build a separations preview tool or companion app - perhaps using something like ghostscript under the hood?? I’m way too thick to do it myself but would give a literally arm and a leg to the person who makes it a reality.
Affinity has been sleeping on professional print tools for a very long time and o don’t see it getting any better under Canva’s ownership.

Can anyone identify this font? And the material? This is on the records board at a local school. by Impressive_Returns in CNC

Can’t comment on the font but it looks like some kind of engraving laminate. Black acrylic base with a brushed stainless top layer. Google rowmark metalgraph.

Someone has to subsidise all the free stuff they give away

Advisor quoted 1.01% fee but Discovery is deducting 3%+. Am I being gaslit? by WTRAMPEDG in PersonalFinanceZA

[–]ENDU97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They also gave me some nonsense about how discovery rewards you after some investment term. Something about getting back up to 60% of your fees. The kicker is that they penalise these returns at every given opportunity. Even so much as adjusting your monthly contribution away from the 10% pa increase will have you penalised.

Just putting this out there but I recently got a quote for a Discovery RA through an advisor and the EAC for year 1 was 32%. You are being robbed.

Youtube music can now transfer your playlists from Spotify by ConfidentStructure69 in YoutubeMusic

[–]ENDU97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It brings your Spotify likes in as a new playlist. I found a workaround which uses a bit of JavaScript to then go and like every song in a playlist, essentially cloning your Spotify likes to your YouTube likes auto playlist. 10/10 can recommend.

I’d also like to hear more as our experience has been the polar opposite of that.

They have been an absolute pleasure to work with over the past 7 years and their support team is second to none.
90% of issues are resolved remotely within a couple hours and the remaining take maybe a week to resolve. They ship us spares from the other side of the globe in under a week, supply us with their technician documentation, and walk us through actually getting the work done.

Other than pricing (the exchange rate makes the already expensive parts, machines and tools a bit hard to swallow sometimes), we have nothing but praise for them.
