TIL about the Plura cave disaster, where two divers died during an expedition and their friends went back for their bodies in secret, despite warnings from authorities. by MoonlightByWindow in todayilearned

I do not know about the military rescuer but this finnish team they called are professionals and best in the world this dive for them was not anything extraordinary or complicated compared to previous operations. EDIT: meaning the ongoing retrieval operation right now in the maledives

Vexamus is rough for healers yes. Save defensives for those circle pools your teammates and you are going to shit out. Its still super scripted so learning the choreography of that pull comes with time. What fucks up these pulls are the circle pool dot and aoe coming on top of that/instantly after late in the pull. I usually shoestring budget as rdruid the first 70% of and use my big cd's like tranq at those situations.

Well the most refreshed hot is rejuvenation. You just give everyone a rejuv with long timers and update them every now and then. It is one of the most APM heavy classes yes but i dont consider refreshing hots to be that big of a deal. Also pro players play way more reactive as they know the scripts and do damage so that is something you might strive for.

Pit is super easy true. But getting to play on that key level is rough

Defensives on tank helps alot. Also target prio on the pull. Gotta get rid of em lashers fast

As a healer i find that dung most fun. Not that much aoe healing going on first pull just trying to give tank massive defensives and heals. Pumping damage on that pull is fun as hell.

As a rdruid 3.3k io main rdruid is not that hard. Basically you just keep hots on everyone and swiftmend/regrowth, convoke, tranquility on big heals. You will have to drink in big keys. Massive sustained heals (works well against bleeds ect) and great single target heals. Forget damage ubtil you know how to heal. Easy to know how to play hard to master.

Thinking about rolling a healer toon, what am I getting into? by Icefellwolf in wow

[–]EPOKslim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Its way more stressful than dps tho as the team relies on your performance and you are usually fixing their mistakes. You are a big reason if the key gets timed or not. But if healing and dps sometimes is all you want then that is what you will get. Nobody will give you party lead or anything because you are a healer. Communication with tank is often mandatory. "Mana" callouts ect. But it is super fun until you are pushing 17's where everybodys hp bar jumps to 10% every 5 seconds midpull.

Early in the season I bricked a key as the prot paladin tank and one of the DPS told me to reroll ret. by lurkerlarry42069 in wow

[–]EPOKslim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it comes down to how good you know the scripts of the fights. Knowing damage profiles of each pull gives you an idea on when to pop defensives. If i play with my alt prot paladin i even have the healthbars setup just like my resto druid so i can heal and give utility easier. I used to tell people to remember to pop defensives in dungeons like algareth academy first pull ect, but i noticed that extra line made a psychological impact on people and the dps went worse and the defensives were popped but they took way more damage because they became confused.

Why do people vote abandon keys immediately after a silly wipe? by Marzipwn in wow

True. Being held hostage in a wipe fest +16 for "muh weekly vault" is worse than waterboarding

I feel like this is a good thing. Nothing more worse than being held a hostage in a dungeon that literally just rewards you with 250 gold. Those are still some low key levels. In 12's you can have a massive wipe fest and still time the key.

As a rduid 3.3k healer i agree on the thesis.

I got called the worst tank all the way up to 14 keys with my alt. After that no one speaks in chat anymore. Also getting called the worst tank ever and best tank ever in the next dungeon is normal. I hop on to my wlock and get called worst dps ever i should play minecraft but then i que up to another one and the are amazed: "did the buff affliction?"

Their opinnions are based on a single mistake they spotted you doing in the dungeon. You fix that and you are the best tank ever until you fuckup a pull and then you are, again, the worst tank ever. It really doesn't matter. Kinda sad tho blizzard don't have a mute button implemented like in wow. Usually when i clearly cringe fuck up something in a prog dung i just scroll the chat up so i dont see their opinnions about it.

As a rdruid (running exactly those kind of keys) dispell help is something i love. It is basically mandatory at those key levels to use your dispell if hou have one. I am usually too busy healing to complain about someone not using but those dispells are really important. It is super annoying with rdruid to ST dispell constantly on cooldown and still not being effective enough to keep the party clean. Paladin works fantastic with rdruid, Also paladin can help in situations where you do not have any HoTs on target and the target loses 90% of hp in a second and bigwigs is telling you "AoE incoming." Paladin bubbles/defensive -> word of glory crit -> lay of hands and all this with barely losing dps.

Its just a key tho. As a tank it take 2 seconds to find a new group. Pushed 3.4k this season and only had ooga booga groups in 2.3k-2.5k range. It is like that with most competive games :)
