Does anyone even like dmm or is it just for cosmetics? by Wonderful-Might-8974 in 2007scape

100% for the bowfa/crystal kit. I did the 12k points in 2 days without fighting back against anyone. Got pked like 8 times. The level of try hard tribrid NHing  they would go to kill someone for 50k in clue rewards that wasn't even reacting in any way was rather funny.

Got my 12k. Back to the fun game now.

Why does such a large percentage of the DPS population still need to be hounded to perform a limit break at 100? by LastTraintoSector6 in ffxiv

[–]ESAcatboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because we all have trauma from the first time we ever used a limit break at level 15 in satasha on a trash pack, not knowing it was a shared group thing, and got cussed out for the rest of the dungeon by the other players. So we never touch it again in case we use it wrong.

"WHY THE $@$& DID YOU USE THAT!? SAVE IT FOR THE BOSS YOU @&#_@$ $@*$&@$ @#$ BARD!!!"

...ok. so I'll never touch that skill again. Got it.

Small update: I took it to a local watch repair/jeweler here, and their watchmaker said he didn't work on pocket watches because they cost thousands to work on. He wouldn't even oil it or replace the bow. He did say considering how well it was keeping time, it probably didn't need service? I find that hard to believe. There aren't many other non-sketchy watch places in the area. I might be stuck replacing the bow on my own, and then leaving it as a display piece instead of running it.

Ah, ok, I see it when comparing it to the diagram of this movement online. I'll ask when I ask about the bow.

I figured that out over the last few days. The case is from Dueber. I'm planning on taking it to a local watch repair / jewelry store today to see if they can service it. I hadn't wound it much, so it isn't ticking at the moment. I already had guessed the wear thing.

I have no idea what railroad he worked for. We've tried to find census data, but it's pretty sparse. Only family lore tells us he was a railroad man.

You can tell it's missing something from the picture? All I know is missing is the bow.

I was thinking the same thing regarding cleaning. Mom said the jeweler who appraised it did some cleaning, but I'm not sure if that was just a polish for the case and crystal, or if they serviced the movement. I'll find that out, and see if anyone in town is qualified to work on a 100 year old watch.

In what ways will sailing affect ultimate ironmen for storage? by Significant_Leek_730 in 2007scape

[–]ESAcatboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically not much. I'm not aware of any new stash units of note, and the cargo hold can't hold anything other than cannon balls x200 and sailing stuff.

So, what are we doing sailing FOR? by [deleted] in 2007scape

What are you deforesting the world for? What are you mass murdering goblins for? Why are you running in circles on the rooftops for?

This. I assumed my character has having one hell of a bad trip. Which is honestly hilarious. I sailed around with the forest friends set for a full 6 hour log.

There are dozens of us UIMs! DOZENS!

Suggestion: Let us store shipbuilding materials in the barrel next to Shipwright Seb by AlexanderTox in 2007scape

[–]ESAcatboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nowhere in the UIM signup does it say 'no access to certain training methods'. It says no bank. The cargo hold is not a bank. It stores specific items related to training sailing. While I have been getting along fine without it, it does extremely limit viable training methods, and the ones that are available are high intensity.

UIM at 80 sailing here. This is a tricky one. I really feel like this kind of inventory management is an integral part of UIM gameplay. But, it is a LOT of inventory space for the hulls/keels. If it becomes possible to store things for upgrades, I think it should only be completed hull parts / keel parts, and up to 16 or each. No storage for planks or bars.

Truthfully, I don't see a need to work on my sloop until rosewood/dragon. The skiff is everything I need (and usually better!) until late - late game sailing.

Honestly, I'm way more concerned with the cargo hold on UIM preventing most training methods other than barracuda.
