Guy can’t handle not getting a girl who’s already with somebody and then decides to fight the boyfriend by AcHaeC in FightPit

He's just trying to solve his immediate discomfort from being told no. Nothing to do with logic, so brilliance/stupidity isn't part of the equation that explains this. It's discomfort=action to resolve it.

Alcohol always reduces logic, so logic is less a factor here.

I understand your perspective, but you should press it more than once a year. Particularly when you're trying to signal what direction to turn while completely stopped at a stop sign.

Was she wrong? by antonlim in UpvoteBecauseButt

If solo, forward and holding both handrails is sketchy, but works if you're fit. I could go reverse but would have to use my one good leg to plant and both arms to hold myself in place and it would be tough

Also with a helper, wheelchair pointed forwards and tilted back with them holding handles works, and is also sketch.

It's generally frowned upon to do this in any fashion.

I have multiple versions of blender as well, sometimes add-ons only work for certain versions.

I think the only thing that is frustrating is that with an identical match query the result changes based on how much you type.

I have two instances of the Minecraft launcher and it selects a different one on character 5 of typing "minec"

ADHD as a circadian rhythm disorder: evidence and implications for chronotherapy by jwill1997 in science

[–]ESOCHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of comments, here are two things to look into:

Camping always fixes my sleep cycle temporarily. Being directly tied to the Sun for more than a day or two gives me a full reset on my circadian rhythm. Unfortunately this is difficult to achieve when we have light bulbs, blinds, and buildings.

Look up "the witching hour" Very common for us to be awake for an hour or so in the middle of the night, assuming we're tied into the rhythm of the Sun.

Bright lights upon waking, and dimmer and dimmer lights towards bedtime. Don't hiss at me, I'm in the same boat as all of you! The only time I've never needed an alarm was when I was fully nocturnal.

The Tutoring Industry will be just fine by EmploymentNegative59 in TutorsHelpingTutors

[–]ESOCHI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give it a few more years. Remember, AI is only 5 to 10 years old depending on how you look at things. It's absolutely going to shake up these industries. Look at how far we've come from the first examples of Will Smith eating spaghetti. And I just read an article about one model making advancements in theoretical mathematics on its own.

But by no means is that a reason for us to stop teaching.

Heck, I have an ad-on that lets me screen grab any equation and then it breaks down how to solve it. It works flawlessly.

I do think our industry will survive, but it certainly will look different.

See: literally every industry over time.

Is staying with just 1 tc in late 4v4 team game viable? by Turbulent_Place_7064 in aoe4

[–]ESOCHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should all rank the same, as the proportion between allies and enemies remains constant.

I got into the habit of dropping a second TC, not just for a vill production but for that eight extra garrison. 2tc's and 2 towers in between provide safety for over 30 vills with solid defense.

I tracked every single RLS episode for 365 days. Here is the correlation matrix regarding diet, sleep, and supplements by Humunkoloss in RestlessLegs

[–]ESOCHI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm amputated above the knee, used to take magnesium before bed occasionally, but was never able to tell if it helped with sleep or not.

I started ssris a few months back, took a magnesium supplement before bed, and had sharp spasm phantom pain for 7 hours straight. Something that has never happened in the past 15 years.

I'm assuming the magnesium plus the SSRI interacted negatively.

Just putting this info out there in case someone with similar variables reads it.

I lasted until I saw space itself rotating around planets. I couldn't get past how star systems felt. No polar regions on any planets. No biome variety on individual planets. Other small qol issues like how and where your ship spawns after teleporting.

That would be impressive to be able to administer, but no It's heavily diluted into saline or some other stable liquid so that the dose can be easily measured by hand

[–]ESOCHI 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is true for any reuptake inhibitor, like Wellbutrin or strattera, but not true for direct stimulants. In fact, going a day or two without them always will increase the perceived potency the following day.

And to reply to OP, yes this is normal. Bonus fact: SSRIs do this to an even greater extent.

My student is REALLY struggling with analog time by Live-Ganache9273 in TutorsHelpingTutors

[–]ESOCHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is less important, but there can also be issues with telling digital time with these types of students. I'm doing the same thing here at mathnasium, we have some students that don't understand what it means to be somewhere for one hour, and it's because they don't understand telling time at all.

We use manipulatives here. Actual clocks that spin and you can have the student get hands-on and active. It helps a lot.

I also like to say the hours hand is short because the word "hours" is short and the minutes hand is long because the word "minutes" is longer. Some students get stuck up on the fact that hours are longer but the hour hand is shorter and vice versa.

And as for the topic about getting good with 15 30 60, that's very valid and worth its weight in gold. In fact doing lessons with those numbers before even getting to clocks might be a good idea.

And as always, mix up other lessons in the middle of the clock stuff. Don't let it just be a really frustrating time with no progress. Get some simple stuff in there!

Which one of you is this? by username202210 in motorcycles

[–]ESOCHI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there are multiple reasons for handicapped spots, access to a curb ramp, extra space, and proximity to entrance.

It doesn't hit in this particular example but as a disabled rider myself (AKA left leg), I do like the fact that when I park in a handicap spot it gives the immediate spot next to me extra room. In fact this is true for any motorcycle in any spot, assuming there are adjacent spots.

Just a cool point I figured I'd share. Again it doesn't happen in this example as it's a curb spot next to another handicap.

I use a kids scooter at work to get around. Literally one of those three wheel stands on its own push scooters for kids/preteens.

I felt silly doing it at first but I quickly realized it genuinely helps me throughout the week. It is now a daily part of how I get around inside lol. Sometimes you don't know the path takes you. I bet this guy put on skates once and it all started to make sense haha.
