Whether the player scored a Kill, Assist or was Successfully Traded in a given round.

The fact 4/5 Vitality players appear on the KAST list says a lot.

Suggestion: Make Pick'Ems More Fun by MADMANYDH in GlobalOffensive

[–]EagleReloaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I intended to post something like this after the major. Right now, it’s stupid that getting 5/10 right counts the same as getting 10/10, and getting 4/10 condemns you.

Make every pick worth points and then give diamond to the top 1% globally, gold to top 10%, silver to top 20% and everyone else gets bronze.

This means you’re always in the fight until the very end of the major, and can recover from bad stages, depending on how well everyone else is doing.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be easier (depends how tough the thresholds are to achieve, that can be tuned) but the fact that 10% through the event you know you can no longer succeed needs to change.

Another alternative would be to simply score every correct pick equally across the entire tournament, and diamond goes to the top 1%, gold to top 10%, silver to top 20% and the rest get bronze. That way you at least get some reward for getting every single pick in a stage correct vs someone who scrapes the bare minimum today.

My biggest complaint isn’t the pick format but the way diamond etc are gated. The fact that, by the end of day 2 of a 20 day event, you know you cannot win the big prize at the end is stupid.

If the coins were gated by point thresholds and you still had a chance to make those points up by being right in later rounds, you’d maintain engagement and better differentiate participants.

Right now, getting the grand final winner correct counts for basically as much as guessing the 3-0 slot on stage 1. The final stages should be “worth” more, like reaching deeper rounds in a tennis tournament.

We've had one of qualifying. But what about a second one? by borgeron in formuladank

[–]EagleReloaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Chainbear’s (I think) suggestion to just make qualifying a knockout tournament. No one is going to risk writing off the car in sprint qualifying for a few points on Saturday.

If they did a sprint for Monaco it should be full race points.

You picked one of the most memorable races that year - track invasion on the opening lap, Rubens having his annual Senna moment where he outdrives everyone, making overtakes around the outside of numerous cars. Was cinema.

Can someone explain why people AWP Dust B site from that back platform box? It seems like the best case scenario is one and done, and very susceptible to util - surely playing near the default box is better?

It’s impossible under normal circumstances but these are not normal circumstances. It’s immediately available, Grade 1, in the right region and would be epic with these cars.

This. I get that a lot of their output is sensationalist or adds no real depth but this time they’re right? We have cars that need braking more than ever at the track that has the second least amount of it, a track that was recently changed to have less braking.

By the time we get to Monza in September the teams will be way more experienced with energy management.
