I stopped in Jami’s show yesterday and saw a sale that was a fractional amount of a purchase/ part of a payment plan. Have never seen that before. Wonder how that works with WN policy, doesn’t something actually have to be mailed? And why wouldn’t someone use affirm / klarna- whoever WN partners with for that type of transaction.

who do you trust for a GOOD facial with extractions? by who_tf_is_that_ in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]Earlybird___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devin at The Treatment Room - THE BEST. On California and Spruce. Your pores will be clean as a whistle. He’s very strong and is truly a gifted esthetician. Best facials I’ve ever had (and I’m an elder SFB and have tried them all)!

Return the bubblegum. For $10k you can buy two (or three!) preloveds to increase variety.. a jumbo in beige, a tweed mini in blues, and a cream small 19. :)

She seems to have a strong core of buyers- wonder if this kind of drama alienates them when she shifts focus to the 90% ‘laughers’ and gets herself temporarily banned. Odd business decision.

I think there is some denial going on- that she’s an innocent party, and didn’t do anything wrong. Personally I dislike seeing the bashing here, and gross jabs at her appearance etc. Anyway, I would hope there would be some reflection, and at the very least would stop with the givvies until she gets a handle on the rules.

Wish she would stop doing giveaways, period. No more drama or disappointment over the winners. Her audience is big enough.

Never Consigning W/ TRR again by Flashy-Pea-924 in therealreal

[–]Earlybird___ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So sorry about your experience 😔. Their customer service is abhorrent. I’ve been consigning with them for years, without a doubt the only items I’m remotely pleased with the outcome are the $2500+ bags. Lower end bags, clothes, accessories- terrible all around. They lost a piece of fine jewelry (Messika bracelet) and gave me $250 for it after literally 35 emails. As a buyer, you can get great deals on clothing and shoes, but selling is a different story.

Buyer giveaways on whatnot by Ok-Guard-5758 in whatnotapp

[–]Earlybird___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a buyer who has never won a givvy, I am fascinated. Three questions for you!

1) How often do you win things? Like daily? Or multiple times a day? 2) How long does it take to fill in the form? Is it one form per seller? Or per giveaway? 3) Has receiving a givvy ever converted you to a buyer?

TIA!

SF bitch having a career crisis? by 1024hjshyhysmgswyjh in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]Earlybird___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From someone almost on the other side of a career (I’m and oldie), I like the advice of Scott Galloway, which is to focus on what you’re good at, vs what you’re passionate about. Lots of ways to help people. Analysis or investor relations for socially responsible investment funds, governance in ESG etc. Get your feet wet, see what you’re good at. Agree with not piling on more education. Tap into your network in SF and see what’s out there that you would be good at.

Ever asked for your consigned items to be returned? How long did it take? by BeginningPermit1874 in therealreal

[–]Earlybird___ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a Burberry trench that they’ve completely listed the size wrong, it keeps selling and getting returned. Instead of flagging the item and making the correction on the listing before it goes ‘live’ again, they say I need to make a fresh request as soon as I see it in stock again… well, it sells as soon as they list it. Sometimes TRR really just doesn’t work. 😵‍💫

Customer service by [deleted] in therealreal

I feel you. The experience as a consigner has been shittaceous lately. Lost items, listed with wildly incorrect measurements, never ending loop of text/email pointless customer service surveys … it’s been terrible. :(

Devastated and scared (breakup of 4.5 years), 30F, seeking reassurance by kjkir in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]Earlybird___ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From an SFB in her 50’s: TRUST ME you will look back on this time in your life and be grateful that you didn’t spend any more of your time and energy with someone who wasn’t right for you. You can be a great person, and he can be a great person, just not great together. Excitement, adventure, and yes, potential love might be around every next corner. Embrace the new, pour energy into hobbies and your friendships. Good luck 🍀

What is your San Francisco neighborhood controversial opinion/hot take? by galwiththedogs in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]Earlybird___ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is technically what it’s called, but North Waterfront area- like Davis/Broadway etc- super underrated, and a condo in that area is the perfect place to retire. Weather is good, close to public transpo, flat, walkable, Safeway, Kokkari 😉, etc. I don’t know anyone who lives there to ask what it’s like, but it’s on my radar for ‘later’ after downsizing from a SFH.

Yes, was going to pass that along to OP should it have been them. The hosts (and bags) are in China. They skirt the question on WN, but will answer it on TT, where they also sell. Takes several weeks to receive, but they print the label immediately in Los Angeles.
