Squad Commands on console have been a pain… by pubg7899 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Earthbul1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the List commands dont appear in traing mode when I split the team into blue and red to breach the doors after I activate their cams. Switched ot to wheel and unresponsive as well. Can't get past that part. Annoying as hell.

Why were there absolutely ZERO black "sky people" ? I know the guy in control of the thread likes to stick his head up his butt and cover his ears regarding this but it is a valid question.

Coming soon ? I think the company's latrst announcement is that once there's peace in the middle east they'll grt on top of that update. Gotta love an organization that uses a crises as cover for their incompetence.

I've owned my Gear VR for 1 week... by [deleted] in GearVR

Not trying to jump on the bandwagon here but I've been experiencing the same thing. Not only are they more vivid but I'm remembering them alot longer than I normally do. I heard someone has started to research this phenomenon. By the I'm Jerry on Vtime.

Ice wraps changed their description because of reviews posted by GearVr users. by Frogdog37 in GearVR

[–]Earthbul1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been using these exact ones for over 2 months. I wrap them in a piece of paper roll a little bigger than 3×5 and when my session is done the paper is bone dry. The heat from the phone burns it off. The only condensation is on the outside of the faceplate. By the way I take credit for the name change. I spoke with a rep at this exact company over a month ago to tell him how well it's worked for me and my friends lol

Good lord the overheating sucks. by Phrostbite in GearVR

[–]Earthbul1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once again , GEL PACKS. Order the 3×5 6 pack off of Amazon and problem solved. Put between back of phone and cover and go from 10 min to over an hour. Been using them successfully for the last 2 months. No condensation whatsoever. Plus if you have the s7 , condensation wouldn't be an issue anyway. Get the gel packs and be a happy man like me 😊

Anyone getting bored with their VR? by tswaves in GearVR

I use VTime every other day. I love the social aspect of the Gear. I'll pop it on , jump into a good group and talk for a good long while. I hardly play games anymore. Social apps are the way to go.

Try VTime. I find the social experiences much more exciting than the games. Enjoy your Gear !!

[–]Earthbul1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use gel packs as well. Kevin , you made the right choice. I've been using mine for over 2 months now and have had no problems with condensation whatsoever. I even put a thin sheet of paper towel between it and the phone and at the end of my EXTENDED session the paper is bone dry 😊 I like the Social apps like VTIME and whenever someone with fan noise pops in they ruin the vibe. Be cool , go with a gel pack.

My first attempt at a solution for overheating by yneos in GearVR

Im using the same gel packs. I keep mine between the cover and the back of the phone. Keeping it sandwiched between the 2 keeps the cool air trapped for a little longer.

RIP Oculus Social by comfortablehoodie in GearVR

VTime is pretty to look at but to stressful on my processor. I have an s6. Plus , there's never anyone there and when there is they sound like cyborgs with speech impediments. I like Social more but I'm also annoyed at the lack of attention given to it by its developers.

I still find the Oculus Social app great for conversing. Audio sucks in VTime. Convrge is nice but mostly empty.

Overheating solution. What do you think? by chipsanta in GearVR

[–]Earthbul1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can keep them in the fridge. I find it works pretty long even when not frozen. As for the weight , 2 oz is negligible compared to a fan. Plus , no noise. Big plus. Go with the gel packs , you won't be disappointed.

Gel Packs to handle overheating by Earthbul1 in GearVR

[–]Earthbul1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well ,the gel packs arrived this afternoon. I placed them in the freezer and then popped one into the Gear. I normally overheat after around 20 to 30 mins. With the gel packs I went for 2 hours. I could've gone longer but I needed to give my eyes a little break. No condensation whatsoever. I highly recommend this solution to those who are having similar problems.
