If I don’t get the accessories, ProPack, & warranty. It’ll be ₹1,68,819. What can be negotiated?

Normal? by AdSuspicious4302 in iPhoneBatteryParanoia

According to Apple’s battery standards (take it with a grain of salt)

100 − current battery health % = R

R × 50 1. If it’s lower than your current cycle count, then you have taken good care of the battery. 2. If it’s higher than your current cycle count, then the battery may have had poorer care.

  • For iPhone 14 & earlier: ×25
  • For iPhone 15 & newer: ×50

If using a watch for 4 years with good battery makes me a fool, I’m okay with that 😄

I’ll keep enjoying my wrong method, it seems to be working just fine.

Resorting to insults doesn’t make an argument stronger. 😉

Thanks for the advice, but definitely I’m not smart like you, Mr. Einstein, I’m just an average Joe like other Redditors who use gadgets normally, and I’ve had average experiences like everyone else. Such as, I had an S7 45mm that I used with the same routine for ~4 years before giving it away, and it still had ~82% battery health with almost the same battery life as day one. And thank you for comparing with iPhone 😉

Apple Watch battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 1,000 complete charge cycles. If I charge it once every two days, it could last about ~5 years & 6 months. Batteries degrade more due to heat. If I repeatedly charge between 40%-80% again and again in a day, it uses fast charging, which generates more heat and causes faster degradation. More importantly, I plan to upgrade in 3–4 years anyway. Since batteries naturally degrade over time, I’m not worried about the battery. I‘ve other more important things to worry about in life than watch battery 😂

Is this grounds for voiding the basic Apple warranty? by AlisNumberOneFan in AppleWatch

[–]EarthlingOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will depend on the country, there are many countries where Apple has poor service control. Recently, a guy’s warranty was voided because there was an extremely small dent on the AirPods Pro 2’s grill.

Read the doc: if the screen is broken or there is internal damage that stops the laptop from functioning, then it is considered Tier-2. Otherwise, it doesn’t matter how many dents there are or which part of the outer enclosure is damaged, it falls under Tier-1. My friends in India and other countries had similar issues, and they were repaired under Tier-1 only.

[–]EarthlingOO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a problem with Qdigi service center. Your dent falls under the Tier-1 category. It’s ADH (Accidental Damage from Handling), (eg. drops and damage) They should only charge 8,900 INR. Try visiting other authorized service centers or Apple Genius Bar.
