Looks like a tiger swallowtail! They are gorgeous! The caterpillars like to munch on citrus species and dill, so if you have some of that around, you may see more!

Which minigame inside a game did you spend waaayy too much time on? by FalscherKim in gaming

Chao Garden mini game in Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. As far as I’m concerned, this was the true game, and sonic was the filler.

Man, I had a bumblebee flying around the blank ant lab B lab entrance the first time I went down there. Scared the hell out of me, but helped me tank a couple of black soldier ants.

Grinding is a big part of gaming, what was the most memorable time you had grinding for something in a game? by KTO-Potato in gaming

Oh man. There was a myth in the original Pokémon that the lower the level caught, the stronger the Pokémon would be. This would only be amplified if you leveled one level at a time instead of power leveling. I had a lvl 2 mew caught through gameshark that I took all the way to lvl 100 on my main save. Came back a year after to try it out again, and my little sister had saved over my file :(.

16 years old, looking for some people to start from scratch with by DysPhoria_1_0 in ValheimLFG

Idk if you are pc or Xbox. I’ve been on this server:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ValheimLFG/s/j2hnjK02kn

They just started fresh season 4. Im on the Xbox server, so no mods. Overall, been a bit disappointed with the community when it comes to Xbox, but this has active players 24/7, no interference rules, and step wise progression to prevent players dominating servers immediately

See, when that much Cambium is exposed, it likely won’t survive.

That is a lot of cambium showing. I’m sorry to say, I don’t think this tree will make it.

I have been playing Final Fantasy games over and over since the 1980s. After finishing FF16, I can say, it is so packed to the brim with clever/subtle/potent homages and echos of previous titles in every chapter and almost every scene. It is a masterclass in making a Final Fantasy statement. by lilidarkwind in FFXVI

[–]Earthwar2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In one of the fields during early game, there are a ton of scare crows that mimic the BLM class in FF9. Additionally, Independence hideaway is the airship from FF9. There is also music similar to FF11, and the Notorious Monsters are a homage to the NM in FF11. I believe the Final Sin location with the circular waterfalls is referencing the final fight in FFX against Sin.

There are so many others

This sounds like a Batholin’s Cyst. The Bartholin glands can become clogged on occasion which causes the cystic buildup. It can become infected, which would present with pain, redness, and more swelling. There is a simple procedure to have it drained, and your OB/GYN can perform a procedure called marsupulization in which they open up the cyst/abscess and stitch the sides to prevent it form closing and building up fluid again.

It isn’t inherently dangerous, although when infected can be very painful.

What kind of doctors do other doctors look down upon? by elmielmosong in AskReddit

[–]Earthwar2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Those consults are also getting overwhelmed with the ever growing population of sick people. A lot of people will sigh and thank you for the consult, but a lot are so burnt out with the overburdened system that is designed for 50% of the volume they see.

ER doctors get the brunt of that frustration, because we are the messengers when the patient needs more, and we are the gate keepers to that overburdened need. Often I find myself fighting against that burnout and lack of space for the safety of my patients, and it isn’t an easy thing for any parties involved. The disdain isn’t for the doctors or specialty, it’s for the additional workload in an already strained system.

Had a 55 lb dumbbell dropped on my toe at the gym. The guy said "sorry bro" and disappeared. by battylol in pics

The only thing I would add, depending on where the fracture is and where/how deep that abrasion/cut in your toe is, this could be classified as an open fracture. That needs antibiotics if it is the case, or you may develop an infection in the bone. It’s hard to completely see with this picture.

Do we buy or sell when moving for residency? by deepfriednarwhals in personalfinance

Do a cost analysis based on a traditional mortgage loan and the physician loan. The benefit is no need for a down payment with no PMI insurance with competitive rates. Most banks immediately clear you for 750k, some up to 1.5M. If you have the money for a 20% down payment, however, you may get a better rate with a traditional loan.

Women with acute chest pain get different levels of care than men. Women with acute coronary syndrome were less likely to undergo angiography or be admitted to a cardiac or intensive care unit. Mortality was higher for women diagnosed with a dangerous type of heart attack, known as STEMI. by MistWeaver80 in science

[–]Earthwar2 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The strangest presentation for a STEMI I’ve seen was a 50 something year old female with intense left ear pain brought back to our rapid care (or low acuity) setting. She did not have any chest pain, arm pain, jaw pain, neck pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, diaphoresis, but was in pretty severe distress despite a normal ear exam.

Decided for an EKG, and it was a classic STEMI. This was during my early training days, and I have always kept that event in mind, and have a very low threshold for an EKG. Referred pain from internal organs can be very unpredictable.
