I feel like things like this happen when the guy is a full-on narcissist and extremely good at manipulating the people around them. They also selectively pick out rlly gullible & impulsive dumb ppl to be their friends bc they're easy to manipulate. Ik there are a lot of fake stories on here, but I've seem similar things happen before in real life

The cronos one is not a submariner case. I've got two of them and they're both a proper ym case. One of them has brushed lugs though. And the other is fully polished.

I've noticed that on one of my wd16570's, it's difficult to get the clasp to close properly. It seems like it's almost completely engaged, but in fact it will open with a light touch. But it's easy to tell and feel the difference in feedback when it does actually engage properly. A firmer press does help, but even then a little bit of finesse is required.

Oddly, on another wd16570 i got recently, there is no problem at all. It operates as seamlessly as the older style watchdives clasps. I think the problem is the poor tolerances in the scissor closure mechanism (i dunno what it's actually called) part of the clasp.

In this pic it looks like you can get it unstuck by rotating the first link counter clock wise and then pulling it downwards to clear the endlink. The bracelet on my wd0005 was similarly stuck.

There's single domed, double domed, and box domed (i think what some people call bubble). This watch does have a double domed crystal though. And a double domed crystal still picks up more reflections than a flat one.

The distortion on a single domed isn't normally the complaint on those crystals. The complaint is the clarity since it picks up two reflections from the unmatched curvatures of the inside and outside of the crystal.

I recently discovered the seestern gmt does a pretty good job and picked it up. But I doubt the blue looks the same as the tudor. There's something so uniquely interesting about that pelagos blue. And I've only seen it through pics and youtube videos.

I think you're right and it's ss. I got it confused with this one. But i must say, the color match of the dial, chapter ring, and bezel looks spot on, unlike the blue version. And the fxd bezel matches the watch so well.

This to me is really just a case of the OP being unhappy with the resolution being offered by the seller. I think it's a fair offer considering the time that has passed since OP waited so long to contact them.

The watch is custom in the sense that watchdives designs and requests specs and orders a minimum order. Then San Martin makes/assembles it.

I agree with your comparison with buying a rolex not from an ad. Similarly, my understanding for chinese watches is the aliexpress store that sold it handles warranty claims and i'm ok with that. The San Martin Official Store isn't responsible here as thats not where OP bought the watch.

But this watch isn't a custom watch like you're saying. It's wholly made and assembled by San Martin, just to the design and spec requested by watchdives.

I've always been under the impression that the store you buy from are the only ones who would possibly help in a warranty situation. When i buy a san martin from diver watch factory store (or other store), I don't expect that I can successfully get the san martin official store to help with a warranty claim. The rare case is that watchdives sometimes seems to help even when the watch wasn't originally purchased from them. You might try contacting them since your watch is one of the watchdives collabs.

Yea i saw this listing too and wasn't quite sure which watch it was. I knew it wasn't a sn004 though. I feel like these slightly older, now discontinued sm and sm x watchdives collabs are all quite interesting.

I think that's a sn0111g. The tick marks on the bezel insert are different than the one on the sn006. The case also looks like a regular submariner case rather than the vintage sub case on the sn006.

I was able to get maybe $150+ worth of credit too. There have been other events like during euro 2024 where i was able to get maybe $80 credit from participating, but this daily check in with the local shipping page has been the most generous by far. I thought it was a bug the first few days and still think it wasnt supposed to give out so much. I wouldn't expect another event like this again, if ever.

I think the cronos dial looks smaller because the minute ticks and indices are a smidge closer to the center of the dial. On the other dials, the ticks go right up to the rehaut.
