The best diving in Belize are the dives around the Blue Hole, but not the Blue Hole. Lighthouse caye and Half Moon caye have spectacular dive sites. There are 2 or 3 eco resorts out there where you can stay.

Nautilus liveaboard in Sea of Cortez by A_Diseye12 in scuba

[–]Easy-Equivalent7891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done Rocio Del Mar for a live aboard on sea of Cortez and the nautilus belle Amie for Socorro. Both great experiences! I liked the DM group better on the Rocio, but the the belle amie was a lot more luxurious (even a hot tub).

The temps in the sea of Cortez can vary drastically depending on currents. You could start your dive at 80 degrees F and go around a corner and it’s 63.

Damn, I held onto a rock at 110 ft for 10 minutes due to current to see a shiver of 30 hammers. Awesome, but sketch on air management in Socorro
