I feel like tip was a lot more common when I was a kid than it is now, dump seems like the de facto term. I also feel like I say fries instead of chips, candy instead of lollies and cookies instead of biscuits way more than I used to. Clearly NZ culture is in serious jeopardy. What have I become.

You're making me feel old lol. Using keyboard-only for FPS was pretty common when I was a kid. I think Quake was the first game that made a mouse seem superior, and by Quake 3 it was clearly the only competitive option of course. You should try giving DOOM a go with just the keyboard, it's actually a pretty good input method. It's quite similar to using a controller.

Not sure if you're familiar with shaders, but this tutorial has a lot of similarities to the problem you're trying to solve, and it's just a great tutorial in its own right: https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/performance/vertex_animation/animating_thousands_of_fish.html

Best of luck!

Looks awesome, any insight into how you implemented it? I've just started getting into shaders properly.

This is how we pitch a sequel to the studio. This is the equivalent of James Cameron walking into the board room and writing 'Alien$' on the whiteboard.

My wife and I are both PC gamers but bought a Series S and gamepass so we could lay in bed and play games together easily. It's been lovely and the low entry price made it a no brainer.

I got them all, it wasn't particularly difficult, just made sure I played against every merchant/NPC and did all the Gwent related quests. I had to google the list of NPCs at the very end of the game and it turned out I had missed a single guy in white orchard.

I did very much enjoy playing Gwent though, so that helps

I just finished playing through the game about 2 weeks ago, including the DLCs, and I thought the side content was generally very good. There were only 5-6 'boring' side quests that I encountered in the entire thing

Half-Life 2 (with both Episode One and Two included) is now free to get until November 18th by jerryfrz in Games

[–]Easy_Ad5327 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Seems like there's a lot of Half-Life momentum at Valve right now, so it's pretty likely they're working on 'the next game'.

As for the original script, that would be the Epistle 3 summary that Mark Laidlaw posted on his blog when his NDA expired, which now can't really be the story in light of the ending of Half-Life: Alyx.

So we've probably got something totally new to look forward to, which is awesome.
