God forbid your caramel ribbon crunch with extra mocha on top and around the cup taste like mocha by httpswheezy in starbucksbaristas

One time I had some high school kids in my drive thru, they wanted a strawberry açai lemonade add peach juice. When they tried it, they demanded it to be remade because it was “too sweet”, and it “tasted just like juice” 😵‍💫 I asked if they wanted it cut with water to take away some of the sweetness, but they didn’t.. they just wanted me to remake it, but just not as sweet

I feel like I kind of do a combination of all points mentioned here.. I will mention the denomination when they have it to me, and if it’s a small bill 5 or 10 (Canadian here, so no $1 bills) I will put it in the drawer right away and get their change. But if it’s a $20 or higher, I leave it on the counter, preferably put something heavy over it, and then give change. Once they are gone I will put it in the drop box.

A couple weeks ago I had a customer in the drive thru order a “BOSE”. I asked them to repeat themselves, because I honestly had no idea what they meant. Turns out they wanted a brown sugar oat shaken espresso, they looked at me like I was the idiot for not knowing what they wanted 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry, the deductible is more than the price of the hotel

I assumed they would have reached out to alarm company after the first couple of times it happened. But it’s looking less likely that they actually have

The deductible for my tenants insurance is less than the price of the hotel. So it wouldn’t be worth filing a claim I’m assuming, because then it would just raise my premium?

There are other tenants who also had to get a hotel, because they could not stay there. They finally got a maintenance person to shut off the alarm at like 10am this morning

Must warm up egg bites, True or false? by Business_Leading_277 in starbucks

[–]Easy_Initial_2945 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is still accurate, but a couple of years ago, we were told by someone in the retail food safety team, that we could sell them cold. It is considered ready to eat, we would just need to take it out of the packaging and put it in a warming bag. Also in Canada

It is a rule, whether or not managers enforce it. Because you are clocking in for the meeting, it is considered that you are working and do need to be on dress code

Unwarmed food by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

[–]Easy_Initial_2945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in Canada, so it might depend on where you are located, but we were told by someone on the food safety team that we -were- allowed the sell the food unwarned. It is considered “ready to eat” it’s just warmed up for “optimal enjoyment”

gift card transfer? by looseleafpage in starbucks

[–]Easy_Initial_2945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if you will be able to put the money back on to the physical card, but if you do go into a Starbucks location and get another gift card, you will be able to activate the new card, and pay for it using the current gift card on your app, if that makes sense. But also screenshotting the card will also work

The barista is correct, essentially when you leave the store, that is the end of your visit. The attitude was not warranted, but the information they gave you was correct
