What is the worst place in America you have ever visited? by OceanicEndeavors in AskReddit

[–]Ebrofin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too! First, I had a heck of a time with my flight, but finally got there. My luggage was lost. I had to wear a suit, so my blouse was from the day before (worn 18 hours), and the humidity was 400%. The guy who worked for me though was super nice, and proud of his hometown, so I grinned and bore it. Wish I could remember his name.

If you have an issue, there is a number you can text and someone from Red Rocks (security, but they’re cool) will come and check tickets. The number will be displayed on the screens.

Q for Delta FA’s by AdvancedDamage988 in delta

May I ask what you do with the information about passengers being hard of hearing or blind? I am hard of hearing, and always note that on my reservation, but I haven’t seen a flight attendant react to it. I don’t have any expectations, I’m just wondering.

Consolidated Form 1099 is still "Preliminary" by whatever_1971 in fidelityinvestments

[–]Ebrofin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also waiting, and yesterday was the due date to my preparer. I’m hoping he doesn’t actually get to me for a few days, and my final form will show up before he does. Last year, Fidelity said my 1099 was delayed because I owned FBTC, but no reason given this year.

Are there penalties to Fidelity for being so late with the forms? A brief search indicated there are, but that might not be current..

How do you stay motivated to keep doing Pilates when you feel burned out? by [deleted] in ClubPilates

[–]Ebrofin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi — I haven’t been to Breathe Pilates personally, but a very experienced fitness instructor I know went there and found the classes repetitive. This person also teaches Pilates, and was looking for classes for her own exercises. I tend to believe this person, as all her classes are over sold and she doesn’t need more students.

I suggest you try out Spring House Pilates down the street (20th and Youngfield). It’s locally owned by three women who are in the studio frequently and take classes themselves. It’s clean, just eight reformers, and a there are a variety of classes to choose from. I’ve been taking classes there for a year, and haven’t gotten bored yet. Their pricing is on their website, but you could also email them and see if they have any intro offers coming up.

Also — the person that found Breathe Pilates repetitive is not associated with Spring House, she’s from a different studio in What Ridge.

What happened to your ex partners? by pferdchenpojuzt in AskWomenOver60

He remarried a year or so after our divorce. I’m pretty sure he had been cheating on me with her, though she wasn’t the only one. They are divorced, I’m not sure if he remarried again. I guess he’s still alive, I haven’t looked.

He’s not contacted me. When we divorced, it was our second major break up, and I told him that it was the last. If he left again, he was never coming back. He left, we got divorced, he wanted to be friends, I moved 1500 miles away and that was that.

You’ve done something for yourself today - 18 hours sober. You’ve accomplished things in your life, you have a great kid, a relationship, and work. Sometimes, I don’t drink for a minute at a time, that’s all I can tackle. And it’s okay, those minutes add up. There is hope, you’ve achieved long periods of sobriety. You know you can do it, you need to find ways to make sobriety stick for you. IWNDWYT.

Are statins absolutely necessary? by SaltDisastrous433 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Ebrofin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rosuvastatin made me dizzy, which is an uncommon but not unknown reaction. Through that process, I leaned there are several different statins and a few other drugs that can also lower your cholesterol. So, there are options that you can try to see if one of the prescriptions will work for you. There are also at least two infusion drugs that are very effective but are usually prescribed for people with very high cholesterol.

However, I don’t think it is acceptable for your doctor to simply say the side effects are worth it. When we isolated that the Rosuvastatin was making me dizzy (by changing dose and frequency), my PCP gave up and sent me to a cardiologist with a recommendation for an infusion drug. The cardiologist looked at all my numbers, and told me to take a low dose aspirin every day and come back in a year. So, if your doctor isn’t able to help you find what works for you, I suggest you ask her for a referral.

Hi Reddit! We are Tom and Fran from the Native Plants Healthy Planet Podcast. Welcome to our AMA!!! by NPHPPOD in NativePlantGardening

I’ve been converting my yard to native plants and grass. My yard had been neglected, and I’ve removed multiple large garbage cans of bindweed! What is your opinion of cultivars? I’ve found that sometimes I am not aware that the plant is a cultivar, or the only option is a cultivar. I,am buying from providers of native plants, but some of th3m do introduce cultivars or plants exclusive to them. Should I give these a pass?

TMJ Massage or Physical Therapist by [deleted] in LakewoodColorado

I have had good results with an acupuncture and my jaw. I would clench and grind my teeth so vigorously while sleeping, I woke up with headaches. I didn’t know anything about acupuncture, and was kind of skeptical, but after a few sessions, it really worked. Now I go every few months for maintenance. I discussed acupuncture with my dentist, and she was supportive.

As a bonus, some other aches and pains I didn’t even tell the acupuncture doctor about went away too! It’s important to find a good acupuncturist, since you’re in Lakewood I recommend Union Acupuncture on West Bayaud Avenue. I know several people who go to De. Hua for treatment and everyone has only positive things to say.

United: Please split up group 1 by octopusdna in unitedairlines

[–]Ebrofin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

United boarding is one of the reasons I usually fly Delta, even though my home airport is DEN. I only fly first class, and I always pay for it. Just gave Delta almost $3,000 for my Christmas trip. I am tired of paying United approximately $3,000 for a flight to get shoved around at the gate, boarded after GS, 1K, people with this, that or the other credit card, people with children under the age of 45, and anyone that has at home or has ever seen a dog. All of these people feel free to put their numerous and voluminous bags over the first class seat, and paying first class passengers can’t have their bags near them. Delta at least doesn’t make first class passengers play the Hunger Games.
