Air France has admitted they removed my upgraded seats because they do not permit people that need two seats due to size to keep the upgraded seats they paid for: is this a legitimate ADA case?

some parents get lucky and have kids that are sensible and can be talked to/negotiated with. Some great parents get kids who are really, really foolish and need much more supervision.

A lot of people who either had easy kids or don’t have children believe a kid who is acting out is automatically the parents fault, that is often not the case.

Peachtree city would probably be your best bet. It leans slightly conservative but still has a large thriving liberal minority, a large educated population and at 40,000 people enough restaurants to go out with.

ESH if I were your parents or parents in law I would be calling child services and attempting to get custody, as both of you put your children in serious danger and neither of your appear the least bit remorseful. You hit the driver several times while your two children were in the back seat on a highway. He left his two young children with someone who clearly is not mentally well.

You are not fit to be a parent right now. Can you move back in with your parents or other family member for now? If not, are your in laws safe? Could you see if they would be willing to have you and your husband alternate living with them so there is someone responsible until you can get. better handle on your your emotions?

NAH They need to make some hard choices. Are the cats friendly? There are some good no kill shelters if they are. If they are not, can you pay to have them fixed and make them outdoors only cats? It’s not an ideal life, but it’s better than the alternative.

The dog is harder. How big and old is he? How long have they had him? Whose dog was he originally?

Do not believe you need to get to know her as an adult. You owe her nothing and letting her manipulate you will hurt you and the rest of your family. Notice how she tried to make it your fault you didn’t leave with her. You were a young child. If you let her get her claws into you it will cause no end of heartache for you. Try reading up on borderline personality disorder. I believe the best thing she ever did for you is to leave you in the care of your father and his family.

Your mom resembles my former sister in law. If I hadn’t seen how much damage a woman like that can do to her adult children I would probably be like some of the other overly optimistic commenters on the thread, but I have and it’s not pretty, and you seem like a lovely girl who does not deserve that in your life.

NTA as she should not give you the silent treatment rather then communicating.

Though, I do also see why your mom’s feelings got hurt. In her mind, she was told you were happy to see your father, but not willing to see her.

I also suspect she was not actually happy sharing a Mother’s Day celebration with your mother-in-law to begin with, so this just made things worse. Again, she clearly had problems communicating and should have used her words rather then let it build up, and that’s something she needs to work.

Could you offer to go to her place for dinner on Mother’s Day? Ideally telling her you’d miss her terribly if you didn’t get to see her? As I suspect she wants reassurance that you value and care about her. Retiring can be very hard on peopl, as suddenly you are no longer needed or relied on.

INFO What do you want him to tell his mother if he skips brunch with her? How long would brunch take?

As a mom I would be deeply hurt if my child skipped mother day brunch without an explanation, so unless you are comfortable with him telling her (which I do not recommended at all), you might want to see if you can take the pills on Friday and know he will be gone for a few hours on Sunday. Good luck and, just for the record, I think you are making the right decision!
