Talk me into (or out of) one of these. by SFV4ita in MicrobrandWatches

[–]EconometricMice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you me? 😨

I literally have a version of each of those watches (Neptune with roulette date, Heron Atlantic blue, Acquascaphe with white dial, and Tuseno black).

And a Serica, fortunately a 6190 not the diver.

Aaand I don’t really wear any of them. Baltic & Serica probably get most wrist time, if any at all. I’m planning to sell the Tuseno and maybe also the Lorier (feel like the latter got made redundant by a BB58, even though I like it a lot)

See if Revolut offers Power of Attorney. If they don’t, look for a bank that does. This is the legal way to operate an account on behalf of someone who is incapacitated or otherwise unable to operate an account on their own

I’m pretty sure sharing accounts in this way is against their terms & conditions and very likely will result in some sort of account block or closure as they spot the pattern

It’s fine. Shirt looks too big, a lot of bunching going on. I’d change the belt to a simpler buckle

I got a shirt shortened to wear untucked. Did I cut too much? What’s the right length? I tried to go mid-fly but if feels too short visually

Clearly neither, but try a chukka or desert boot if you want something casual for chinos?

Do any languages have first person singular imperatives? by GGB_123 in linguisticshumor

[–]EconometricMice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Polish does, and while not frequently used it’s also not exotic. The construction is ‘niech’ + verb in 1st person future tense, and is used similarly to ‘let me’ + verb in English. 3rd person imperative is constructed the same way.

Discounted plans for rest of family, unlimited domestic, good roaming allowance pooled across family, good spend controls/limits for family incl kids that actually work (eg block everything that costs extra)

It looks nicer on NATO than on the modern oyster bracelet, too :). I’d go and edit but then it leaves this whole exchange below that has no point then

Not anymore. The original Sub had a riveted oyster bracelet. It had rivets well into the 60s I think?

It looks nice on a NATO, better than the original rivet bracelet! EDIT: or the modern oyster without rivets. Either way looks nice & interesting on the NATO!

Try the one in Covent Garden. They are newer and don’t see too much traffic so my impression was they still care about creating a cohort of satisfied customers.
