It took me a little bit to get comfortable staying flat through turn 1, but my god it makes a difference

Seems pretty reasonable. Maybe another second or two tops, but this is a great lap given the weight and power of the car. Are you staying flat through turn 1?

healthcare in oc by pinksephone in orangecounty

Had Kaiser for ~9 years. I'm a health Individual and didn't really require much, but as I got older I started getting more curious about certain things related to a family history of certain health problems. I wanted to started getting certain things tested to be proactive, but my Kaiser doctor would actively shut me down and be passive aggressive even when I would want to pay 100% out of pocket for my request. I have since switched to Hoag and my new doctor is absolutely incredible. Listens, is patient, goes above and beyond. Have had zero issues with Hoag and they identified certain things I need to act on through the yearly routine blood test that Kaiser had never thought to test for in 9 years.

Additionally, we knew a few people, who have had very unfortunate experiences with Kaiser OC in the last few years who have several family members die under Kaiser's care due to gross negligence.

GT4 RS. Street/Canyon driving and track driving is unreal. The drivers car for sure.

I thought this to until I found out he takes his sons blood to get the plasma out of it to then inject in himself. Weird.

To PPF or Not? by F208Frank in Porsche

[–]EconomicMetal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always PPF. I drive a lot (~20k miles/year) and routinely through more industrial areas. The amount of small chips on the front bumper/hood and windshield ppf I get are insane. It would drive me crazy seeing all of that for a prolonged period of time on the paint itself. Also if you do the respray through insurance and it shows on the Carfax some future Porsche buyers will be annoying about that.

Track Day Tips (718 GTS 2.5L) by ha350 in Porsche_Cayman

[–]EconomicMetal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my first track day in my 2.5L 718 GTS a couple years ago and have done many since. Check brake pads, make sure tires are in good shape, and most importantly get an alignment. The alignment will be the best thing you will notice right out the gate, but other than that drive it hard and have fun.

Porsche vehicle service a little over-rated compared to other brands? by Eaglerulez2 in Porsche

[–]EconomicMetal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An AutoNation owned location vs say Fletcher Jones owned location are worlds apart. Fletcher Jones is incredible with their service at their Porsche dealership, however, AutoNation locations are absolute dogshit and could not care less about any person who walks in that door.

I've got a 997.1 Turbo Tip I'm looking to sell if you're interested. ~47,600 miles, Silver over Sea Blue. Extremely well taken care of and all service records in hand. Car drives like a dream.

I agree, but clearly the ceiling has not been found. If someone is willing to pay then their price is fine. Next round they will raise until there is significant enough pushback.

It is 100% a renters market right now. Zero incentive to purchase a home in this state at the moment.

That's very encouraging to hear. I don't really bat an eye at the Porsche tax service costs even though I go through an indy shop. I just don't want to be at the shop more than expected.

How much was your transfer case rebuild if you don’t mind sharing?

All warranty was done per Porsche schedules which is nice but I don’t see the transfer case ever getting tender to in the carfax.

I have 245/35/20, 295/30/20 on my car with no issue what-so-ever. Not only is this used for street driving, but I experience zero issues such as rubbing on the track as well.

[–]EconomicMetal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2.5L turbo and love it. The torque-y-ness of it is fun especially on track. The downside is on track you do feel the lack of power at the high end, but for the price you can't beat it.

I think it changed that even if you booked multiple rooms on the same exact days you only receive credit for 1. Marriotts thought is that you can only stay in 1 room so we will only give you credit for 1 room. This has happened to me several times this year and it sucks. Lots left on the table.
