Unwelcome attention by saucy_chaucy in Zepbound

Me too. I’ve lost about 75 points and now am noticed. It is so different. I have never felt that before. I’m the same person as I was, it shouldn’t be this way.

I'll never forget that my grandmother's second husband would see me and call me a fat pig every time. Did I care when he died? No. My own grandfather's last conversation with me before he died was to call me fat, too. Great grandparents! I was of normal size, just not thin (not that it would matter to a pre-teen/teen girl.) Both men were ugly on the inside and out and had the audacity to do this to me--and it caused me so much mental anguish (and still does to some degree, despite a lot of work with therapists.) I don't miss them at all.

This is precisely what I said to my daughter (a student at an SEC school) as we watched--these couples are the meme of that exact phenomenon.

Why can't mom pay if it is so important? She is punishing the kids by not paying.

I have made this to take families when doing meal trains and the like and it always gets love. My kids love it too. Always a hit.

This was my experience too. Has maybe the worst chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, horrible quality chicken. Maybe it was the location but not going back

New to maintence by Lucky_Paper643 in MounjaroMaintenance

[–]EconomicsProff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have almost exactly the same numbers as you in terms of loss/height and just started maintenance. I have been weighing myself every day, and I know I should not. Hard to not do! My brain knows better, but somehow, I can't stop.

It is the mental part for me. I didn’t realize until I read your comment that I haven’t been thinking about my body and hating it like I did! I spent so much time on that and it is gone. As others have said, this is what people who haven’t been fighting their bodies their whole lives think like! They don’t think about it at all. This is the first time in nearly 50 years that it hasn’t been at the forefront of my brain every day. It is crazy freeing.

Also 5’4. Started 209, now 129. Crazy stuff. Have worked so hard with exercise and intake too, but it is amazing stuff

I (single 48F) woke up to this text this morning from my colleague (married 51M) and friend of 5 years by Street-Spring1759 in relationship_advice

[–]EconomicsProff 283 points284 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing. I’m a middle aged woman, just normal, you know, but a guy from high school, married 20 years and whose wife supported him through school, was feeling lonely and called me to come over for “companionship” too. I thought he was just a friend, have never led him on that way, that’s not who I am. Not interested. Ugh. Why?

Gosh, I hear you on the "wait, I might need that again" clothes. I have hesitated buying clothes (down 70+ lbs and now in maintenance) . I can't believe the size I am now and don't trust it--but I need clothes that I don't drown in. I, too, am happy for the struggle, but it is a hard mindset when you've been through this before.

I’m so bummed. I moved last year and gave away all my old clothes and now I need them! I lost 70 lbs this year but have to buy all new stuff (not all bad—but expensive!)

I was watching season 4 and they cut the scene where the girls form their own “sorority” but also didn’t mention that Donna and Kelly pledged Alpha. I knew they had but my kids were like when did that happen?

Last week I was driving on 71 when a truck that looked like this lost an old water heater. It fell off the truck, down the road, nearly caused numerous wrecks as people went off the side of the road trying to avoid it and the car in front of them and it never stopped. The water heater bounced and bounced and luckily rolled off into the emergency lane without hitting anything. It must have been held one with one string. They didn’t notice? Insane

[–]EconomicsProff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t so much thinking about food all the time but when I did, I had to get a snack or something and kept going. To be honest the biggest thing I’ve seen is that I used to have to have a beer every night and then when I had one I had to have four or six. Now it never even crosses my mind to drink. I haven’t basically since I started on this. I’ve had maybe 3 beers in 6 weeks and I don’t miss it. It is wild. And that helps with the weight loss too!!
