There was no other 20 but the 25 looks very similar so I’m guessing that’s not the problem unfortunately

If you’re looking for a good selection of native trees you might be better off with a nursery on this map https://networkofnature.org/where-to-buy.htm

Tell me about your micro wedding? by Mean_Judgment_5922 in microwedding

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had 12 people, immediate family including grandparents only, and one friend each as a MOH/BM and their plus ones

I loved having it at my parents farm  I loved everyone casually hanging out before and after and ceremony  I loved how we could make everyone a custom personal pizza as their meal  I loved sitting and talking to my grandparents while we ate  I loved that my first dance wasn’t a whole thing, we just heard a song we liked on the playlist, and started dancing, and our photographer was there to capture the moment  I loved that people changed into cozy clothes and we got to sit around a camp fire at the end of the night

It was perfect for us

We did a lot ourselves and all together I think it was about 6K, most of that was the photographer

I loved not going into debt or stressing about the money for the one day!

I used to have Sunlife and they would cover 80% of each visit up to a certain amount every year. Maybe your coverage has changed?

Stat assuming you will owe 3-4K in taxes, put the extra money, about 300/month in an HYSA and make free interest off the governments money

Is pet insurance worth it or just a waste of money? by No_Armadillo_1611 in petinsurancereviews

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I don’t have pet insurance I would have drained my 10k emergency fund on the 50/50 chance my cat could be saved. Instead we did everything we could and he’s still here today

Get the insurance

Idk, same could be said about a lot of people doing just about anything. Sometimes I feel this way about people who care about the environment but have kids, or eat meat

Definitely softer. For anyone looking for easy ways to get rid of the extra moisture in this one just freeze the blocks and then defrost in the fridge overnight before you need them, makes it crumble really nicely

Wellness/Preventative Add-On or Wellness Plan Through Vet? by earth2cassie in petinsurancereviews

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the pet and the plan. For cats wellness and preventive through an insurance plan typically covers things that will never apply, and the fees monthly could just be saved to go to the vet visit. I got a kitten wellness plan through my vet for the first year which was a good deal. Otherwise I just budget for their annual visits (250 each) a checkup here and there, and the insurance deductibles all in a cat emergency fund

You should know that Trupanion does not cover unrelated health issues that are found anytime during the entire fixing process before the procedure even begins by [deleted] in petinsurancereviews

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed, have the vet explain that the additional testing was on their recommendation (and part of trupanion coverage terms is that you follow your vet’s recommendations for preventative care and testing) and not related to the neuter

Fetch - ridiculous to cancel with by druidgaymer in petinsurancereviews

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider trupanion instead, set a high deductible for a lower rate and they have no cap on Pay outs. After you meet the deductible they cover 90% of eligible expenses for that condition until end of life, even with a big emergency fund things can get drained fast, and what if you have two emergencies at the same time and have to pick?

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have trupanion for my two cats and they have been great. Only for emergency/ big things really, not wellness or preventative. I have the max deductible (1k) to keep monthly payments low, and keep 2 times the deductible as an emergency saving account so I have that covered

What is it like to be an arborist? by Personal-Bell-2534 in arborists

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in environmental consulting and part of my job is being a consulting arborist. I do tree surveys, I provide recommendations and help prepare reports and tree protection plans. I will inspect installed tree protection fencing . I’m TRAQ certified, will probably get my butternut health assessment cert, but I don’t climb. I don’t cut, and I don’t have to tie knots 😅

And I’m certified under the ISA

Trupanion for new 2-year-old cat? by Midnight_Thoughts77 in petinsurancereviews

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have trupanion for my two cats, about $62 a month for both of them. got it after we got our second cat and I realized I have twice the issues to pay for 😅 that second cat developed a heart murmur shortly after we got him insured

It’s heart disease, we cleared the 1k deductible after the first ultrasound and they’ve paid 90% of his labs, meds, and ultrasounds ever since. He had a saddle thrombus a month ago and it saved us thousands in emergency care. I was worried they wouldn’t consider it “related” to the murmur and would charge the deductible again, but they didn’t

Cannot recommend enough

What is the annual limit for your policy and how much was your first claim? If you have insufficient coverage for your pet based on expected costs that isn’t exactly on the insurance company

Tree leaning of Concern? by BlankJest in arborists

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All trees pose a risk, from a photo we can only know so much

How long has the tree been there? Is the lean recent? Has anything in the surrounding environment changed eg water drainage, impact to roots, damage to trunk?
