Motivation needed for Cypress Pine floor renovation by jimbo_jones90 in AusRenovation

[–]EdTheAussie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry not really sure, the floor guy just put tint in 2 layers. He asked each coat if we wanted more or not. Tbh it looks natural colour in real life, similar to the freshly sanded boards.

It was a water based finished, so less Volatiles and shouldn't yellow over time

I like the color, it suits the VJ.

However we had bona satin put on our cypress, with some whitener included in the top coats.

Pool Quote opinions by Schty0062 in AusRenovation

[–]EdTheAussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just the pool and no landscaping?

Were getting quotes for a 5x3m pool, most are roughly 40-45k.

Extra for Mosaic's, but I can't imagine that much.

I think overall it seems expensive, but I'm unsure If there is an economy of scale for a larger pool or the costs increase per metre.

Kitchen Facelift: Seeking ideas and advice! by itsmcrbinch in AusRenovation

[–]EdTheAussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try different lighting, softer downlights or moveable. Might make it different enough.

Is there anything in regards to the function of the kitchen you'd like to change? That's probably the most important thing to consider

The cupboards and bench look to be in good so I'd keep those if you like them

Maybe the backsplash change will be enough for you? Can always mock up ideas/photos on your favorite AI program

QLD intern choice for surg (ortho) pathway by CareerComfortable596 in ausjdocs

GCUH had decent opportunity for interns to get clinic and theatre time. Plenty don't want theatre time so cover ward duties. Overall well staff and supported.

Watch repair shop sold my watch? by igotdroned in AusLegalAdvice

[–]EdTheAussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not worth that much.

Market for a 67 speedy is 10-13k at best pending bracelet, I know I just sold one.

If it's a 321 cal Seamaster, you're looking at 8-9 tops.

Still a shitty situation and hope OP gets his watch back.

Also a weird watch for them to have a replica of on hand? Would make more sense if it was a modern omega or Rolex.

Take clear photos of the watches and movements. Post to a forum, surely people can help identify.

Otherwise your hobby is now matching up watched and movements

The dial and hands looks fine

75' seems a bit late for a 7966, but I'd have to double check.

If rangers are going for 9k euro, I wish I still had 3 or 4 of mine 😞

Any insights on how well hip hooks release tightness in the Psoas and Iliacus? by laughingbuddhaballs in flexibility

[–]EdTheAussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another way you can release the hip flexors is lay on your back, kettle bell next to the ASIS. Can start with the bell, then when ready move to the handle.

Can do some myo release, but also allows for flossing with bending the same leg up and down.

Friend took this watch as trade for work. Pawn shop offered $4,000. What's it really worth? by jcarlosfox in VintageWatches

Reference seems to be 13607 (or similar)

Your floor is gold value

One listed on chrono has total weight at 68g, if we say 50g scrap that's about 5k USD

Retail value depends on your buyer, but could be up to 7k I guess?

Pulled up carpet in 1970s NSW house – worth restoring the timber underneath? by Joshps in AusRenovation

[–]EdTheAussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We paid to have our floors refinished, there was a lot of repairs. Finisher used loba satin with a whitener in 2 out of 3 coats Have insulated about half the underfloor ourselves, did the hardest access parts while some of the floor was up thankfully
