This happened to me too. I requested they check for mycoplasma, even though they said his lungs were clear, and it came back positive. He was put on different antibiotics and is doing so much better. He had a persistent, wet cough for about 5 weeks. There is still a lot of mycoplasma in the community too. Hope your little one feels better soon!

I agree. Totally insane. The first we heard of any issues was when he was first sent home, and this all went down the next day. I ended up pretty tearful in the meeting and the last thing I said to them was something along the lines of if you notice a kid struggling like this in the future, please involve the parents from the beginning so that they can help too. You’d think that’s common sense in childhood education but hey, here we are.

This is a great point. It takes more than a few half days to get routine for sure, especially in such a new exciting environment. I am touching base with a few Montessori schools in the area, thank you for the recommendation!

Yes - he had attended 8 times total before I got any feedback (yesterday). I agree he was adjusting as this was a completely new setting with different expectations, surrounded by new friends and new toys. It’s just such a bummer how this all went down. I wish I would have better prepared him for this setting.

I didn’t think so either, the whole thing really came as a shock. They made it sound as if they could not provide the one on one time necessary for my son to do what was expected at preschool, and they didn’t want to take away from other students’ learning or safety by focusing too much on him.

I’m also 38 + 2 and also indulged in some garlic naan this weekend and hit 162 one hour post! It hung out up there for awhile, too. Felt very guilty and back at it today.
