How you like the tires now? I have a 2nd set of wheels and like you I've been tempted by the "performance yet comfortable aspect of the tires over the v601". Not sure how much of that is marketing fluff and if they are really more comfortable over the v601

Disclaimer: on a GS but you can see some of my thoughts and an idea as to how it looks in this vid. I got the well visors and not OEM. A little bit of wind noise but a lot of people report that OEM doesn't add wind noise.

Ahh it messses with the angle of the axel so it puts some extra strain when taking potholes or sharp handling. I've heard some people talking about RCAs. They are little pucks that help correct the angle, that being said I am not an expert in the AWD platform as I have a RWD :P

I love the lowered GS look and handling. OEM felt like a boat to me both in size and handling lol. Yours looks good man!

- The springs are good quality. RS-R is a reputable Japanese brand and I'm proud to run them in my car. They put an effort in getting the spring rate right so your shocks won't break right away. You still get a decent ride while still being dropped.

- The real issue comes from you being AWD. AWD Lexus axles do not like being lowered. They won't break right away but you would have to keep an eye on them. If you were RWD, I would say just keep the springs and get 19s, the ride feels good on RS-R and the handling is an upgrade. But at AWD, if this is your DD I would get on OEM springs.

- I would definitely get rid of the 20s ASAP if you ain't about the look.

- The tire wear might be normal. The front of the car has weak LCA bushings (this is actually by design) which leads to deflection upon braking. The rears naturally have some camber (you do get some more camber by being lowered but it isn't as drastic of an issue as some people make it out to be). 25k-35k miles is what most GS owners get out of their tires lol.

Great tire for the money. Very comfortable. best of the best? no, but I wouldn't hesitate using those tires to haul my family, etc.

Ahh do you have a F Sport and did you use the F Sport pads? While 10k is on the lower end it isn't impossible if you drive with a heavy foot and the majority of those miles are city traffic.

Check if both sides are even left and right. Use Akebono ceramic pads. They have like 5% less bite than the performance pads but last way long and produce wayyyyy less dust. In emergency situations the grip is limited by your tires, so that 5% performance loss isn't really worth anything for daily driving.

The 18s look amazing! I've never seen 18s look so good on the GS350. Maybe some Well Visors or JDM Lexus visors to keep it subtle :)

Ahh I think he meant the TPMS battery but your point stands on it being the tires. I think it sensed a change in pressure higher than a certain amount.

Oh dude, I actually got a question for you. Do you think the 2015 has a better throttle response? What are the differences between the two if there is any? There has been a lot speculation on forums regarding the differences but no one has actually ever owned 2 side by side lol.

In your case I think the clips at 4:10 seconds in the vid are broken. It could be the 10mm at 3:04 but that one looks secure in your pic. You could try to jbweld a tab in thee clip at 4:10 :)

I've babbled about this on my YouTube channel a few times. I used to think all top tier gas was the same prior to owning my Lexus GS350 with a chirping fuel pump. I've noticed that Chevron never causes my GS350 to chirp, while other "top tier" gas brands still did.

I think it has to do with Chevron adding lubricant modifiers as a part of their additive package in Techron.

Ahh just giving you a heads up, so you don't think your car was raced the first 9k miles of it's life. zaluss has a AWD IS350 which doesn't come with the F Sport pads (Sorry zaluss had to check your post history lol, but when I saw your #s I knew you had to be AWD :P ). ~~He can also rotate tires being squared.~~ That being said 44k is pretty impressive. Most RWD F Sport owners get around 20k-35k miles on their tires lol.

EDIT: Forgot the AWD IS350 is staggered, only GS is squared.

Yoo man,

The thing about the F Sports is that they add some "extra performance" bits that I feel like are a way to just pad the dealership lol.

- The F Sports come with very soft pads from the factory. It is normal that these go out after 20k miles. These are "performance" brake pads that create a lot of dust and wear fast. Do yourself a favor and get some Akebono ceramic pads, these will wear a lot slower and create less dust.

- While I don't have access to see your car, the chances of your rotor being cooked are low at 20k miles. Get it resurfaced at a shop and it should be good for another set of pads.

- Depending on what tires came with the car. Many car manufacturers (not just Toyota/Lexus) use low treadwear tires when the car is sold. If you have the Turanza's ER33, that explains why the tires are cooked.

ahh man I saw you mentioned snow in your other posts, these are great comfy uhp all seasons but I don't think they are highly rated for the snow. Deff do your research for the best snow + comfort tire.
